We’re looking for an operations AVP to support the management of team members, implementation of strategic plans and oversight of efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
You’ll work closely with finance, marketing, customer relationship management, product and other teams, to ensure smooth back-end process execution on current and new product and drive the long-term success of the business.
As an Operations AVP, you will :
Assist the COO in overseeing quality and compliance of the operations processes.
Collaborating with the team to ensure that operations processes provide adequate support in all stages of company growth and meet objectives of the firm.
Execute projects to improve processes with focus on enhancing efficiency and optimizing resources.
Provide guidance and build an environment to foster professional development of the team.
Monitor and handle day-to-day activities of a high visibility, multi-function & multi-team operations department, including but not limited to report preparation, payment / transaction processing, and reconciliation of accounts.
Interacts and coordinates with all internal parties and external stakeholders such as banks, payment channels, product vendors, regulators, and external auditors.
Responsible in identifying and assessing risk, managing controls, and ensuring compliance. High standards are required as we view our operations as that of banks.
Interprets and applies, where appropriate, industry announcements and changes to existing internal systems and processes.
Independently takes on multiple complex assignments and projects on behalf of the department and sees them through to completion, while continuing to manage daily responsibilities and service levels.
Undertakes further duties as may be assigned from time to time.
University degree or equivalent experience required. Concentration in business, finance, or management is preferred. An MBA is preferred.
8-15 years of relevant experience in operations or closely related field .
Preferably with banking or Fintech experience.
Excellent relationship management and leadership skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to think and communicate structurally.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to implement and execute projects in quick fashion. Strong track record of end-to-end project management from strategy to implementation to evaluation.
