Job Overview : Business Development Officer performs market research to identify new opportunities (cut costs and increase revenue) for the company and presents strategies on how to pursue them.
Duties and Responsibilities : Work directly with the General Manager in identifying other possible revenue streamsIdentify new sales leads by researching organizations and their needs / requirementsInitiates contact with prospective customers and schedules sales meetingsConducts presentations and creates proposalsMaintain excellent product knowledgeSuggest improvements that can be made to increase revenueContinuous research to provide market intelligence to identify service improvement areas (Competitors and Competitive Pricing)Planning and overseeing initiativesCandidate must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree, any field.
At least 2 years of experience in Business Development or Sales is requiredMust be able to multi-task to include Sales and Marketing activitiesExcellent written and verbal communications skillsStrong Presentation and Negotiation skills
