Summarized Purpose :
The Tax Accountant is responsible for the internal and external reporting compliances of the company which include but not limited to direct and indirect tax filings, Financial Statement audit, tax audits, PEZA compliance, and other legal or regulatory compliances. Essential Functions
Prepare requirements for direct and indirect tax compliance, including but not limited to corporate income tax, income tax return, VAT, withholding tax, and final tax.
Prepare requirements for PEZA compliance.
Handle queries or audits from BIR and other government agencies and prepare the needed documents required.
Perform tax reconciliation (tax return vs books), tax entries and analysis, and tax schedules for external and internal users.
Prepare and complete statutory audit requirements in accordance with PFRS.
Communicate within the Finance function and with other PPD departments to gather and analyze any information needed to complete tax projects.
Liaise with external parties such as vendors to influence proper tax compliances.
Assist in general accounting and month-end closing.
Act as a subject matter expert and may perform tax research and gather information as needed.
Should be a graduate of Finance and or Accounting course.
CPA is preferred
At least 3 years experience in Philippine taxation and regulatory compliance including handling of tax audits
Must be highly analytical and a fast learner
With knowledge regarding BIR rulings
Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to learn new systems and tools as needed
Ensures quality of work being delivered without being supervised
Communications Skills Good oral and written communication skills
Willing to work in BGC, Taguig City
