The General Ledger Specialist is responsible for processing general ledger transactions for small-medium sized entities, including but not limited to cash receipts / netting allocation, bank reconciliation, fixed asset transactions and invoicing, intercompany credit control, accruals, recharges, prepayments / amortization, other month-
end activities, preparation of audit requirements mainly for Emerson Automation Solutions.
He / She is required to apply appropriate internal controlsin compliance to Corporate Policies and Procedure (CP&P) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) mainly for Emerson Automation Solutions.
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any Accounting related degree
Job Related Experience :
At least 6 months - 3 years work experience in general accounting, audit, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, cash receipts application, Intercompany transactions and credit collection or audit
Specific Knowledge :
Proficient in MS Office applications with background in MS Outlook.
Proficient in using ERP applications
Knowledgeable in Internal control
English Communication skills (oral & written)
Attention to detail skills
Ability to follow detailed workflow and instructions
Time / Work management skills
Business Understanding :
Experience in working for a Shared Service or BPO set up
