Wells Fargo Philippines enables global talent capabilities for Wells Fargo Bank NA., by supporting business lines and staff functions across Operations, Risk and Compliance, Project Management, Finance & Accounting and Data Analytics.

We operate in Taguig City, Metro Manila.

About the Role

The official job title is Senior Payroll Consultant. This role will lead all activities related to the maintenance of complete and accurate records of payroll information in support of payroll preparation and distribution.

The successful candidate will set enterprise-wide standards for practices and procedures of financial controls related to payroll activities, and compliance with policy and / or law.

Responsibilities

Aligns standard operating procedures with Regulatory and Compliance guidelines to substantiate internal / external audits.

Partners with other executive leadership, HR departments, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and audit committees to strategize on business and / or enterprise-wide compliance approaches, and build better governance structure.

Acts as the final authority in multiple areas of expertise regarding payroll inquiries, records, deductions, and procedures.

Manages highly complex escalations to minimize legal and / or compliance consequences and impact on operations and resources, with ability to align resolution approach to organizational objectives.

Develops external relationships and reputation to drive and inform industry trends, communicating implications to stakeholders and payroll team, and developing new payroll approaches and practices within Wells Fargo.

Leads, develops, and manages a team of individual contributors.

Market Skills and Certifications

College graduate. Bachelor's Degree, any field

CPA is an advantage but not required

7 years of relevant experience in HR Operations - Payroll, Tax, and Accounting

5 years of leadership experience

in-country Payroll Certification, or equivalent experience is preferred

With relevant experience in bi-weekly payroll processing for a large-scale organization, using semi-inhouse payroll tools, is an advantage

Knowledgeable in ADP, Workday applications, and Agile Project Management

Payroll Managers who are willing to take on an individual contributor role, are encouraged to apply

Amenable to work on a mid-afternoon shift

Amenable to work in McKinley Hill, Taguig City
