Role Summary

This position is a great opportunity to step into a strategic Human Resource role, providing broad exposure to the business.

The incumbent will act as Human Resource (HR) advisor to business leaders and provide HR solutions to meet business needs.

He / she should be able to help leaders to implement people strategies to achieve business objectives.

The incumbent will work closely with the Global Resourcing HR Leadership team and be the HR lead responsible for driving people strategies in his / her area of responsibilities to execute on our global functional strategies.

The successful candidate will have a focus on driving priorities such as promoting the culture required to execute the client’s business strategy of Finance, Investment, Actuarial, Digital Operations, Technology, Risks, and Project Management Office and improving overall engagement, and leader effectiveness, drive engagement, D&I, talent and succession and development.

Role Accountabilities

  • Act as HR advisor to assigned client group(s) of Finance, Investment, Actuarial, Digital Operations, Technology, Risks, and Project Management Office, with total employees of approximately 2,500.
  • This population will grow depends on organization transition plan until 2022, with approximately 10-15% growth every year.

  • Delivering suite of solutions to meet the business’ people needs, or to consult on workforce and individual people issues Be a thought leader with respect to the HR function, constantly and creatively assessing and sharing opportunities and risks with respect to the function, and demonstrating how the function may be used, changed or adapted to provide benefits to the broader organization.
  • Be an agent of change, driving continuous improvement and excellence both in the HR function and across the enterprise
  • Be the face of One HR to leadership ensuring HR services and resources are delivered seamlessly and, in a customer, centric way to support acquisition, engagement and retention of employees in line with business need
  • Use data / metrics to validate and support findings for informing strategy
  • Proactive and strategic talent partner to drive talent identification and development process to ensure that the finance, actuarial and risk functions have sufficient bench strength and succession plans are in place for officer and critical roles.
  • Lead Organizational Design sustainment including adherence to new functional operating models
  • Actively collaborate with and provide feedback to HR Centres of Expertise and HR Shared Services in the form of internal / external market intelligence
  • Provides feedback, advice and coaching to senior leaders on people issues, HR strategies, communication and leadership
  • Leads change initiatives and business projects with people implications
  • Anticipates impact of change on the organization and provides advice and education to leaders
  • Assesses risks to the organization and escalates appropriately, participates in policy formulation
  • Oversees delivery of all cyclical employee initiatives such as Employee Engagement Survey, Performance Planning and Review and Compensation Cycle for assigned client groups
  • Execute the people strategy that facilitates the acquisition and development of talent pipeline for the assigned client group(s)
  • Proactively assess business needs to identify and advise on solutions, and to feedback to CoEs as market intelligence
  • Bring in required specialists from CoEs and Shared Services as-needed to deliver against business needs
  • Be the face of One HR to leadership ensuring HR services and resources are delivered seamlessly and, in a customer, centric way to support acquisition, engagement and retention of employees in line with business need
  • Monitor HR SLAs and client satisfaction levels
  • Challenges business leaders in terms of risk management, compliance, as well as to try new concepts and solutions
  • Implement global and regional initiatives in a customer centric way
  • Responsible for other HR initiatives as assigned
  • Key Shared Accountabilities

  • Drive higher engagement levels in partnership with department managers to help improve engagement scores
  • Assist in executing organizational re-design in Business Units
  • Set expectations with leaders regarding HR role(s) (HRP, shared services, CoEs)
  • Provide input / opinion re : talent assessment of leaders
  • Job Requirement

  • Degree holder, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Management
  • Minimum 10+ years relevant working experience in multinational companies
  • Well versed in Philippines labor law and other regulatory practices
  • Knowledgeable of BPO and financial industry
  • Excellent command in both spoken and written English and Tagalog
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and build trust
  • Must be well organized and detailed in approach, with good follow-through
  • Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight deadlines
  • Client relationship for the assigned groups
  • Execution of assigned HR programs
  • Influence Product development by CoE’s
  • Influence people strategy for the assigned client groups
  • Escalate unethical or non-compliance issues within the assigned client groups
  • Strategic orientation to think long-term and beyond one’s own area
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, motivational and people development skills
  • Able to engage and influence all stakeholders both within and outside the client groups
  • Role-modeling collaboration, decisiveness and execution drive within the team ( One HR ); identify and resolve issues on a timely basis
