Mercury Systems is seeking an Embedded Account Manager located in the Eastern United States .
The Embedded Account Manager is responsible for stimulating interest, shaping, and closing new business opportunities for Mercury’s Embedded Business Unit focused on targeted customers or a defined geography - seeking partners whose missions, objectives, and values align with our own.
The successful candidate will be a team-oriented player who can partner with Mercury’s customers to stimulate interest and shape opportunities into Embedded sub-system led opportunities.
The Embedded Account Manager will also be able generate lift by stimulating interest for other Mercury capabilities and solutions.
The Embedded Account Manager will work in a fast-paced environment. Occasionally, you will be expected to work on weekends for critical events, programs, trade shows, or travel to customers / partner meetings.
Travel is a requirement of the role.

Mercury’s Embedded business unit supports these requirements by developing and deploying SWAP-optimized, secure sub-systems based on high-tech, commercial capabilities.
The Embedded Growth team is responsible for getting Mercury’s technology into these leading prime defense contractors and government agencies.
Successful Embedded Growth team members tailor their approach to Mercury’s Embedded and Secure capabilities and to each unique opportunity, to ensure that our solutions provide a differentiated value proposition to the challenges our customers desire to solve.
As a key member of the Embedded Growth team, the Embedded Account Manager will work closely with Business Unit, Division, and Executive leadership, in addition to other functional groups, to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for growing Mercury’s Embedded presence with targeted customers and / or within a specified geography.
Position Duties / Responsibilities :
In coordination with Mercury leadership, develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for growing Mercury’s Embedded and Secure capability presence with targeted customers and / or within a specified geography
Generate new leads and business opportunities for our Embedded and Secure capabilities, working closely with your Mercury Growth counterparts to determine strategic goals and targets
Serve as the key point of contact between Mercury and strategic customers for Mercury’s Embedded and Secure capabilities
Develop, implement, and maintain a successful sales methodology cycle for identified opportunities
Accurately forecast bookings and design win data
Exceed stated sales quota by identifying and closing winning new Design Wins and other sales opportunities
Identify and communicate opportunities for Embedded and Secure capability improvement to internal stakeholders based on customer feedback and market requirements
Assist Marketing in producing collateral, supporting trade shows, and generating webinar tools related to Mercury Embedded and Secure capability portfolio
Participate in the development of new project proposals. Evaluate competitive intelligence and implement customer quotes, contract reviews, and sales dashboards that are accurate & timely
Manage the preparation and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs that support customer and sales function profitable growth
Represent the company at various community, trade association, and business meetings to promote Mercury, our capabilities and brand awareness.
Must perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Minimum / Basic Job Qualifications (skills, work experience, education / credentials) :
BS / MS Degree in a technical field or equivalent
Minimum five (5) years of technical sales experience or in an Embedded or Systems Security Engineering (SSE) field
Possess an understanding and have experience selling embedded and secure capabilities for use in Aerospace and Defense applications.
Proven track record of exceeding quota targets and generating new business
Intricate familiarity with the defense procurement process used by prime contractors and the USG
Demonstrated excellence in driving positive change and to communicate the compelling need for change / improvement with management and staff
Demonstrated competencies in structuring sales targets, revenue expectations, establishing contracts, and skilled in negotiations
Proven competencies in Excel, Word, Power Point and CRM system software (e.g. Salesforce.com)
Excellent communication skills. Ability to compelling articulate Mercury’s Embedded and Secure capability offering to audiences with varying levels of technical skill and seniority
Ability to travel (50%+) per business needs
DoD SECRET clearance required (active or ability to obtain upon hire)
Education : BS / MS Degree in a technical field or equivalent
Work Experience : 5+ years
Travel Requirements : 50%+ per business needs
