An entry-level management position responsible for providing quality work products on customer engagements while managing a small team of consultants.

Has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product / technology family.

Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.

Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Ensure that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements.

Responsible for operational metrics and overall business results for area of responsibility. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members.

Typically manages individual contributors. Demonstrates multiple business process expertise within one product family or technology solutions architect and design expertise for one technology product and understand cross stack impacts.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience and 1 year of engagement / team leadership experience.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.


This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region.

Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice : people management, portfolio / delivery management and sales enablement.

Has profit and loss responsibility or financial / expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational / financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability.

Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements.

Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base.

Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.

8+ years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals.

Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.

The Practice Manager SuitePeople position will lead a team of resources responsible for delivering SuitePeople services.

They will be responsible for team resource planning and working with other managers to ensure that services are assigned to the appropriate delivery teams for quality delivery.

Key leadership skills are required as this will be a team consisting of consultants and project managers with a range of experience.

The Practice Manager will be responsible for guiding and mentoring consultants and project managers in the delivery of SuitePeople services using the existing delivery methodologies.

They will be responsible for attaining a high level of customer satisfaction and quarterly utilization targets. This role will manage a portfolio of SuitePeople projects and ensure that quality standards for delivery are exceeded.

They will be the first point of escalation for the project teams working on projects within their portfolio.

Reports to the Consulting Practice Director, SuitePeople

Detailed Responsibilities include :

  • Lead a growing portfolio of SuitePeople projects and manage delivery of consulting services
  • Drive team and individual performance to achieve targets and goals
  • Hire, enable, develop and manage a team of new and experienced resources to fulfill SuitePeople delivery objectives
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to new employees and assist in career growth and development
  • Build team expertise and confidence in SuitePeople delivery work, assess performance, and provide prompt feedback
  • Conduct regular 1 : 1 meetings with direct reports and other team members working with SuitePeople
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks including time approvals, vacation, expense reports, etc.
  • Create and execute new programs, processes, and SuitePeople initiatives
  • Prepare and communicate quarterly check-ins and annual performance reviews for direct reports
  • Work alongside Senior Leadership in building out the SuitePeople Delivery Practice
  • Work with sales teams and assist in securing new SuitePeople sales; provide ongoing presales support, scoping assistance, coordination and enablement as needed
  • Direct management of front-line resources, including coaching to utilization targets, ensuring compliance to operational processes and supplying guidance around the product and service offerings
  • Ownership over SuitePeople project escalations; collaboration with Product, Support and Operations teams to resolve escalations and issues for the SuitePeople team and customers
  • Oversight of a portfolio of projects, enabling product adoption for clients via high-quality services
  • Operational oversight of headcount / portfolio to ensure accuracy of revenue recognition, time entries and other business data
  • Provide portfolio data analysis and reporting for presentations to leadership and other internal teams
  • Manage all documentation created and maintained around the SuitePeople practice
  • Facilitation of role-based meetings for optimization, training and problem-solving
  • Continual optimization of the practice with constant identification of challenges / problem areas and then leading those improvement projects
  • Acting as a go-to resource for SuitePeople services / offerings
  • Preferred Qualifications / Skills include :

  • 8+ years of experience in ERP or HCM consulting
  • Proven solution leadership and staff management experience
  • Experience implementing ERP Financials packaged application solutions and / or Payroll and HR solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in translating customer business requirements into workable software solutions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience in Change Management and Business Process Mapping
  • Excellent client management skills and the ability to work with customers to achieve their business goals
  • Cloud / SaaS application solution experience
  • Travel :

  • As appropriate, able to travel on a modest to moderate basis.
