Duty 1 : System Support and Maintenance

  • Monitors and tracks issues through ticketing system
  • Reviews impact of delays / problems / issues to create improvements and automation of the processes
  • Troubleshoots and develop fixes bugs / defects in making sure issues / requests are resolved appropriately and on time (advanced bug / defects : loss of data, server errors, logical errors, unexpected app behavior)
  • Identifies and troubleshoots production failures and repository assets
  • Processes different data from the different data sources
  • Conducts knowledge transfers on request fulfillment processes and advanced troubleshooting
  • Performs File loads, Update Cutovers, create TRS, update Time sheets and other recurring activities.
  • Documents issues and corresponding fix to the team’s tracking tool
  • Duty 2 : Metrics, Reporting and Analytics

    Data Gathering

  • Extracts / generates quantitative information from databases using standard queries. (basic coding).
  • Data Analysis and Manipulation

  • Consolidates and standardize data structure from different data sources.
  • Cleans extracted data using pre-defined guidelines or instructions.
  • Formats extracted data using pre-defined guidelines or instructions.
  • Reporting

  • Performs data validation to achieve data consistency.
  • Generate, analyze, create report / dashboard from different sources and submit to requestor.
  • Creates reports based on standard templates.
  • Provides status updates on report development, raise issues encountered and adjust timeline as appropriate.
  • Duty 3 : Product Development

  • Designs and develops basic SQL queries
  • Develop and execute reports, bug fixes, optimizations and enhancement, document processes and generate required metadata
  • Analyzes program risks and apply change, risks, and resource management.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent on issues and decisions on services.
  • Creates basic ETL designs and works with different data sources i.e., Oracle, JDE, Share point, Excel, SAP, and other files.
  • Supports and maintains SQL Server Database Projects and Deployments to on-Prem SQL server or Azure Synapse Analytics SQL Pool
  • Maintains Data Warehouse using SQL Server 2016 / latest Technology and Azure Synapse SQL Pool
  • Enhances existing dashboards and visualization applications
  • Recommends framework to utilize visualization principles and techniques to create best-practices and best-in-class dashboard designs
  • Performs rigorous quality assurance steps to deliver highly accurate and reliable work products
  • Eliminates repetitive / manual reporting processes where applicable by Streamlining and automating dashboards to drive operational efficiencies
  • Migrates on premise database and ETL to Azure Cloud
  • Creates and refines user stories and acceptance criteria with the Product Owner
  • Creates iteration plans and team Program Increment Objectives for the Program Increment (PI) Planning
  • Estimates the size and complexity of work
  • Determines and recommends the technical structure based on the requirement and within the standard or architectural guidelines
  • Conducts research, creates design, prototypes, mock-ups to as they explore other technical solutions
  • Performs diagnostic analysis to determine other solutions
  • Implements and integrates applicable changes in small increment
  • Develop products defined in the features and user stories
  • Writes code based on specifications defined (e.g., UI, back-end coding); and follows a set coding standard, code sharing and design guidelines of the team

  • Participates in cross-functional testing and peer reviews
  • Duty 4 : Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Identifies continuous improvement project ideas
  • Records and reviews / assess the improvement / innovation raised by the business unit
  • Escalates specific issues and provides recommendation to customers to address them.
  • Support projects related to quality improvement (such as Think Customer, QMS, etc.) and handles tasks to support the objectives of the management.
  • Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar) is preferred
  • Job Related Experience : At least 1 year of relevant work experience in IT software development field, data mining, manipulation, analysis and reporting.
  • Specific Knowledge : Microsoft Office 365 tools (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) Knowledge in writing SQL and PLSQL programs SQL Developer, PVCS, Kintana, HP Service Manager, Service Now Knowledge in Oracle e-Business Suite Oracle Production Business Systems Waterfall, agile or Scaled Agile Framework
  • Skills Written and oral English skills in a technical environment IT & computing skills Analytical skills and aptitude for logical thinking Ability to elicit, analyze, communicate, and document requirements Ability to see overlapping functions and interdepartmental dependencies Ability to work with cross-functional teams (users, management, developers, IT) Ability to work independently with high attention to detail, and focused on the timely completion of deliverables Ability to communicate complex concepts and models into understandable visual representations Ability to work on highly complex problems and provide feasible solutions in time.
