This is an integral role in product development which will ensure the organization’s needs are articulated in business requirements and user story acceptance criteria.
In this role you will leverage your expertise in enterprise analysis, requirements gathering, system conceptual design, and scope definition for complex, high profile projects.
You will review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. You will be responsible in facilitating the shared understanding of business processes and articulating this in user scenario driven stories.
Your inputs will be impactful to the overall business strategy of the project you will be part of.
This position will also be involved in Business Intelligence adoption and will be responsible for working with stakeholders to gather data analytic requirements and to help direct, organize and promote a self-service BI strategy within the organization.
Perform superior, consistent business analysis for concurrent software projects which includes the following :
Work with management and clients to develop a deep understanding of and expertise in the underlying healthcare benefits business processes
Use your understanding of business processes and knowledge of business pain points to identify and prioritize underlying requirements
Use your skills in enterprise analysis to ensure that requirements are addressing the needs of the business as a whole across multiple systems
Ensure requirements are clearly documented, communicated to, and understood by developers, QA and other project team members.
Document business, functional and technical requirements. Identify the most effective ways of capturing and transmitting this information.
Create written documentation for Corporate Security and Risk teams to ensure projects are fully communicated and assessed by relevant Corporate processes
Assist with establishment of software development processes and ensure that they are followed consistently across projects
Communicate effectively amongst the team and to stakeholders external to the team
Contribute to the development of new health benefits analytics, tools, applications and approaches
Serve as a thought leader for the business analysis function, propagating best practices and sharing your expertise.
Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry
Strong technical, business analysis and organizational skills
Demonstrated strong emphasis on high quality data, documentation, analytics and reporting
Demonstrated experience interfacing between various business and technical teams
Able to work independently as well as cross-functionally in an organization to successfully implement projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; high attention to detail; ability to clearly and confidently explain new concepts to audiences
Fluent in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. Able to find new and innovative ways to clearly and effectively communicate to a technical audience.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to decompose high level business requirements into granular business needs
Demonstrated ability to translate non-technical business requirements into technical specifications both in written and verbal form
Strong understanding of User Stories and how to use them in the requirements management process.
Knowledge of Agile (Scrum preferred) Software development process
CSPO, IIBA, or PMI-PBA certifications are a plus.
Experience with User Experience (UX) design is a plus
5+ Years relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
