The Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with Customers and Products. The demand Planner is responsible for creating, maintaining, publishing, communicating, and improving macro and micro level forecast reports, trends, transfer and ramp-up planning of the Therm-O-Disc product lines.


1. Demand Planning and Forecasting

  • Analyze and coordinate demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels ofaggregation for multiple time horizons, review historical sales trends,research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecastmodels and evaluate forecast results while adhering to standardized demandplanning procedures
  • Coordinate cross functional researchactivities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model toreflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teamand Sales Managers in ensuring that only the latest and accurate data is usedfor demand forecast, understanding forecast drivers, leading the synthesizingand reporting of relevant forecast inputs to the company, and recording forecastdata to Tool and preparing analysis
  • 2. Demand Analysis

  • Create, maintain, and publishcompany wide forecast reports and analysis on Demand at aggregated tier levelsacross the short and long-term forecasting horizon, Lead Time and On-timeDelivery
  • Facilitate demand review meetings withevery level of the organization to review demand trends from multiple reports
  • Support the operations groups in identifyingcustomer finished good kanban
  • 3. Demand Management

  • Work closely with the Lead Demand Analyst on gatheringforecasts and explaining how the demand versus the forecasts affects thebusiness unit in terms of Sales and Unit Values ensuring that the business isin right direction
  • Analyze demand forecast on C&D accounts based ondemand patterns and business trends and work with Sales Manager on creatingforecast
  • Support multiple teams such as Supply Planning onsupply action plans, Sales & Operations Planningon demand shaping including S&OP and MPS processes, Manufacturing sites ondemand reports and line move timing (Regionalization)
  • 4. Pricing Analysis and Reports

  • Prepare and maintain different reportsincluding monthly comparative sales reports, price matrix, competitive priceanalysis, daily pricing related system entry, and customer competitive quoteand data entry

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years relevant experience as Demand Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Sales Analyst, Data Management and Analytics
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Knowledgeable in database platforms such as SQL, Visual Studio
  • Ability to organize and analyze multiple data sources and events into a cohesive result using various analytical tools
  • Ability to complete various data analysis tasks and build reports to be used for communication with various levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts
