Department Overview

The EBT Platform Management team is responsible for providing technology solutions for the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) organization.

This includes providing Application Availability, Platform Engineering, and IT Service Management services for a diverse portfolio of 750+ applications.

We are seeking a Business Systems Consultant to join our EBT Platform Engineering team, facilitating cross soluti0n design, architectural and strategy alignment, platform analysis, application and process documentation, release implementation coordination, and extending best practices across a global delivery team.

A strong focus on cross-functional team operating capabilities along with experience in a continuous delivery environment preferred.

About the Role

Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems.


  • Acts as a liaison between business partners and the technology organization, facilitating discussions and documenting requirements, test plans, identifying sprint milestones, creating and monitoring forecasts.
  • Collaborates with the Technology Manager, application leads and development team to execute the best technical solution that addresses the needs of the users.
  • Facilitates weekly application check points to include training and testing needs, engineering and capacity updates, upgrades and maintenance, incremental and base project progress, and incident management.
  • Works with the line of business to evaluate project and enhancement requirements and design and implement the most efficient and cost-
  • effective solution per the vision set by the architects, application leads and technology manager.

  • Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition / improvement to re-
  • engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.

  • Assists Technology Manager with department compliance with Enterprise operational risk programs and audit regulations.
  • Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff
  • Self-motivated personality with big-picture awareness and a focus on making the team successful rather than doing the letter of the job.

  • Market Skills and Certifications

    Basic Qualifications :

    3-5+ years of experience in business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both.

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of data analysis and leadership reporting
  • 3+ years of SQL stored procedure and query writing to manipulate and transform data, as well as research and troubleshoot data related issues.
  • 3+ years of relational database experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with industry leading business intelligence tools, preferably Tableau
  • 1+ years of experience with a defined project methodology, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, track issues and risks, coordinate and facilitate stakeholder meetings, and experience with escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
  • 1+ year(s) of process flow engineering, with an ability to translate requirements into effective process flow diagrams.
  • Ability to manage multiple project and process implementations simultaneously
  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong judgment, and ability to work effectively with the client, IT management and staff, and other groups in Information Technology, including vendor resources
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Significantly strong user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Competent in SharePoint 2013 as an end-user and particularly comfortable with opening / editing / saving files to / from SharePoint.
  • Critical thinking skills - asks probing questions instead of just accepting a generic / vague answer, looks for the "why"
  • Should be an Effective communication
  • Should be able to escalate right things to right person in a timely manner
  • Should have Excellent analytical, problem solving and multitasking skills
  • Willing to work in shifts (24x7 models), Flexible working hours.
