Position Summary :
Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Specialist will support the Finance Department by checking and posting journal entries, do bank reconciliation, cash flow forecasting, validation of payables, and generate reports for month-end close reporting.
He / she will also assist in the preparation and submission of government, audit compliance reports, analyze trend P&L reports, prepare annual budgets and variance commentaries.
Overall Responsibilities :
Responsible for Accounts Payable payment validation, cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliation, budget preparation, government and audit compliance and providing Accounting Support for the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
Essential Job Functions :
Review the completeness of suppliers’ invoice and other documentation
Prepare checks and journal entries
Handle cash and check disbursements
Handle Accounts Receivable collections
Prepare weekly cash flow forecast for Philippines and Malaysia
Ensure Accounting matters adhere to deadlines and statutory requirements.
Assist in preparation and submission of government mandated and audit reports
Assist in the preparation of reports for month-end closing via Magnitude
Balance Sheet reconciliation
Run and analyze trend P&L reports
Prepare variance commentaries
Perform such other Accounting tasks that maybe required from time to time.
Job Requirements :
Basic Qualifications including Education Level :
Minimum 5 years Finance Specialist experience
University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Good Accounting Knowledge
Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
Systems and data management experience with ERP systems (SAP FI / CO preferred)
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and planning skills, including ability to : prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and enforce deadlines, while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
Ability to work in team environment
Physical Demands & Work Environment :
Able to work on mid-shift schedule
Render over time or extra hours of work as needed
Liaise with government agencies as needed (PEZA, BIR, LGU)
