Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and managing Information Technology (IT) project plans to create new and change existing collection letters.
  • Develop and implement programming codes to extract data from collections system to fill requirements on collection letters, including appropriate data mapping and assigning appropriate letter platform and positioning.
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve letter production issues in a timely manner.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for TSI branches and subsidiaries and letter vendors for production letter IT projects and processes.
  • Create project plans to detail steps to implement new or revise existing collection letter initiatives, including development of a project schedule to ensure a timely delivery and determining appropriate resources.
  • Partner with TSI Attorneys to ensure that collection letters are in compliance with TSI policies and procedures, client guidelines, and all pertinent legislation.
  • Develop and implement new command procedures to run and process collection and / or production letter selections and to prompt UNIX transmissions to and from Letter Vendors.
  • Perform unit testing to ensure quality when collection letters are placed into production.
  • Make recommendations to management and senior staff regarding improving and streamlining current core systems processes.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with TSI policies and procedures.
  • Follow up in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems / Technical Certification or equivalent in relevant work experience.
  • 1 years of previous programming / work related experience required. 3 years of previous programming / work related experience preferred.
  • Experience working with collection software system preferred.
  • Experience working in the Collections / Call Center industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages and UNIX environment a plus.
  • Strong system analysis, design, project management, and workload scheduling skills required.
  • Ability to analyze complex tasks, design sound and effective solutions, and to code and implement solutions as required.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and work within set guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
