Job description

This position is responsible for maximizing human resource effectiveness, minimizing costs, sustaining operational efficiency, delivering innovations, optimizing quality and delivery of products by leading and managing functions within Test Systems Engineering.


  • Manages and plans tester transfer, purchase, upgrades / downgrades, installation and qualification within Corporate Capacity Requirements Planning (CCRP) guidelines
  • Ensures effective user interface availability of automatic test platforms downloading in all test platforms for production operations
  • Communicates with concerned managers from other Divisions / Business Units on equipment transfers

  • Provides direction to establish and implement test equipment repair and maintenance to support production requirements
  • Ensures execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance to further enhance equipment performance
  • Ensures robust software infrastructure in all test system platforms for high data integrity and availability
  • COST CONTROL (Daily)

  • Leads the team in cost reduction and improvement activities guided by maintenance contracts that are covered by pre-determined budgets
  • Drives cost reduction or avoidance through CCRP determined maintenance budget
  • Collaborates with Purchasing and Division asset managers in finalizing forecasted maintenance contract coverage
  • REPORTS AND COMMUNICATION (Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly)

  • Consolidates reports on tester performance
  • Communicates with supplier regarding machine performance and service support
  • Disseminates relevant test systems information to all involved
  • DOCUMENTATION (As needed)

  • Approves standardized procedures, maintenance programs and projects

  • Implements day-to-day management, development, recognition, and discipline of subordinates
  • Takes active part in employee selection, career and skills development, succession planning and staff training
  • Evaluates, guides, coaches, and mentors subordinates in the effective performance of assigned tasks

  • Disseminates, explains and ensures adherence to rules and regulations on safety, health, environment, good housekeeping, and security in the area of responsibility to ensure that applicable rules and regulations are understood and implemented"

    Education Level Required - College, Years of Work Experience - 12 to 15, Desired Competencies are - Test Equipts / Prober-Handler, Project Management, Team Management, Maintenance.
