This position is Philippines based, and will report to Regional Sales & Industry Leader, Asia Pacific for Food Enzymes.

Your Focus

As a Technical Sales Manager, you would serve not only as the primary face to the customer, but also representing technical support for bakery food enzyme products.

It will be your responsibility to foster and grow existing business, initiate new opportunities, and communicate the needs of the territory.

  • A strong understanding of customer business and bakery industry trends
  • Active participation in local associations and trade organizations
  • Providing technical / application information to customers with the assistance of other team members to gain product efficiency and develop a project pipeline
  • Execute local improvement plans to manage time and costs more efficiently
  • Participation in industry team training programs
  • How You Will Contribute

  • Be a customer-facing sales resource responsible for driving account strategy and navigating relationships required for technical success of IFF bakery food enzyme solutions.
  • Expanding relationships within the food and bakery industry
  • Resolving customer issues and define unmet needs
  • Provide on-going product application service to customer accounts
  • Find new opportunities and drive through the sales process to reach a valuable outcome for the customer
  • Develop and implement detailed account plans, present and negotiate commercial offers
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary team, consisting of employees from applications, technical service, supply, marketing, and research & development to service our customer with the high IFF standard
  • Utilize tools, technical reports / resources and troubleshooting skills to identify and propose opportunities / improvements to help improve and optimize customer operations.
  • Ensure the highest standards are achieved for our customers in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, process efficiency, and reliability when using our products.
  • Job Requirements

    What you will need to be successful

  • Degree in Food Science, Bakery or related field of study combined with sales and / or technical experience in similar industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting the implementation of functional ingredients to the major countries in ASEAN bakery industry.
  • Intimate knowledge of the bakery industry.
  • An ambitious self-starter capable to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of customer activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Ability to interact at multiple levels in customer organizations, including Senior Management and key decision makers.
  • Skilled communicator that can work in a team and communicate with various groups to reach a common understanding of business needs.
  • Strong project management skills and principles.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment, able to deal with ambiguity and function autonomously.
  • Processing and merchandising of bakery products.
  • Sound knowledge in theories, principles, methods, models and procedures of sales and / or technical support.
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams serving customers.
  • Mathematics and calculations knowledge working with cost in use as well as, converting between different weight and mass measurements.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office software package and other sales related tracking software.
  • Ability to translate and articulate value propositions best suited for a customer’s application.
  • Identification of customer needs and propose solutions in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to commit to travel at least 50% of their time based on territory and customer location
