Job Summary

The Senior Finance Analyst is expected to support all Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) responsibilities. The incumbent is responsible for undertaking planning and budgeting, business case analysis, pricing and all financial information required by the business.

It is the interface between Sales and the Operations teams, providing financial advice to drive operational excellence, policy governance and improve profitability.

Responsibilities also include taking ownership and accountability in the execution of business process management and improvements.

Like (a) BS & PnL Review both for internal & Statutory books; (b) Inventory Management; (c) Operations & Admin support; and (d) other Adhoc reports.

The candidate will need to work in close collaboration with business partners, process owners and stakeholders in defining key business process management performance indicators to optimize business processes with measurable results.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Business Partnership : Act as Finance support to Sales Leadership team to drive strategy, guide timely and informed business decision to meet or exceed full P&L plan (including headcount planning to optimize ROI).
  • Drive and manage forecasting cycle, target setting, performance reports and tracking. These include leading regular meetings with Sales, Order Management and Credit Management teams on pipeline analysis, understanding of revenue recognition criteria applicable, and identify risks impacting forecast accuracy.

    Prepare timely reports and analysis to provide financial insights for business reviews. Require the ability to interpret results, finance processes and accounting policies to non-finance members, identify potential risks and opportunities in business performance.

    Support Customer Data Management which focuses on sell-out analysis, support segmentation reporting, and ongoing communication with stakeholders for any questions regarding issues, actual results and targets.

    Work closely with Asia Pac Credit Management team on credit issues and collaborate with Cebu Order Management, Collections teams where necessary.

    Participate in discussions with customers and partners to explore options within policy to support the business balanced with credit risk exposure.

    Review & approve Channel Partners incentives program such as Marketing Development Funds (MDF) and Volume Incentive Rebates (VIR), ensuring adherence to Global Process Policies, be the check and balance to how the MDF are spent and if quota for VIR are set appropriately.

    Support Commission process on computation of actual results of the elements of measurements.

  • Financial and Governance : : Drive Statutory & Tax reporting to comply with local and US GAAP. Review Management books for accuracy for transaction anomalies to be adjusted pre-close.
  • Ensure adherence to Lexmark Policies and Procedures, in particular Pricing Policies and Revenue Recognition. Lead and drive a strong governance environment fully in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, Code of Conduct, and assist for any internal audit or control compliance matters.

    Take lead in AP Finance monthly reporting requirements & ensure that AP Finance reports are consolidated, analyzed and published on time.

    Lead discussions with Country Finance managers to analyze and explain business trends, performance flux and forecasts expectations.

    Make judgment calls / decisions to support analyze results and explain variances as well as deep-dive into revenue and costs flux to AP Finance team.

    To compile analysis and deliver monthly financial reports for AP, including Profit and Loss statements, variance reports and analysis, by country and by business units, in a timely and accurate manner.

    To assist with the annual budgeting process as well as the monthly forecasts using Lexmark business plan tool, including compiling reports and providing necessary analysis as required, and other ad hoc analytics requests.

    To work with the AP Finance team members on high level business reporting and analysis, either utilizing information available on Lexmark accounting system, or work with local Finance teams.

  • Other Responsibilities : Utilize multiple financial systems & tools including D365, BPC, CDM, SAP, etc to perform core responsibilities.
  • Be the Finance Point of Contact in-country to support and facilitate any local required assistance to regional Finance teams and Cebu Shared Services Organization.

    Proactive in resolving issues and removing roadblocks with proper guidance from Superiors & / or AP Finance Team. Review processes as part of continuous improvement to drive simplification and optimization.

    Other ad hoc projects / initiatives as required.

    Competencies, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :

  • Technical Skills : Manage a full P&L for Korea & Japan business Knowledge of Korea multi-element accounting Knowledge of US GAAP and local country GAAP Exposure to pricing Strong governance background Financial modeling and business case analyses
  • Soft Skills : Ability to communicate in business Korean both spoken and written is preferred but not a must Business acumen and creative solution within risk appetite.

  • Education, Experience & Certification Basic Requirements :

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting. CPA preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Finance operations role within sales and marketing of a multinational company environment.
  • Relevant IT industry is preferred.
