Under the supervision and guidance of the Resource Planning Manager (RPM) and the Manager of Consulting Resource Planning, the Resource Planner is responsible for effectively staffing resource requests based on client specific needs, resource skill set / goals, resource availability, resource level (i.
e. manager, senior, or associate consultant), and geographical location. The Resource Planner will work to ensure resources are staffed on-time and in alignment with the goals of the resource and resource request.
In addition, the Resource Planner is responsible for the daily management of Resource Management processes. This includes maintaining the staffing process, maintaining the resource scheduling / tracking system (Polaris), coordinating of internal assignments / training for consultants in between assignments, and preparing RM reports.
o Ensuring compliance with Rules of Engagement (ROE) / KPIs for Resource Management processes and the Resource Management staffing tool (Polaris)
o Assisting with process revisions / enhancements based on business changes, tool changes, team changes, etc.
o Assisting with documentation of RM processes and communications
o Ensuring RM processes are updated and stored on RM page on Sharepoint
o Taking staffing requests / requirements from project managers and practice leads via phone, email, and staffing tool (Polaris)
o Conducting research / resume / skills searches to identify potential resources options based on client specific needs, resource availability, skills required, level / rate required, and geographical location
o Proposing identified and qualified resource options to project manager and / or practice lead for approval and final confirmation
o Working to fill any open positions on projects in order to maximize utilization and revenue (with guidance from Manager of Consulting Resource Planning).
This will involve proactively identifying resources that are not 100% billable on their current projects and have extra bandwidth to assist with other projects, utilizing the COEs to fill these open positions, looking outside of the region and business unit to fill the open positions, and working with 3Ps to fill open positions when all other internal options have been exhausted.
o Providing resource planning coverage for other product areas or business units during other RPMs’ scheduled PTO
o Assisting with the onboarding and integration of new hires to their teams / product areas / industries; this will include an explanation of the centralized RM process and RM’s role in their project assignments and career development.
o Monitoring unassigned resources, and act as primary point of contact for local unassigned resources. Proactively work with project managers, practice leads, and RM team to identify assignments for these resources
o Serving as a career coach to understand their skills, expertise, career interests and goals, and overall satisfaction with their assignments.
This will include frequent one-on-one discussions with each resource.
o Working with project managers and practice leads to further professionally develop their resources. This will include reviewing each resource quarterly with PMs and / or Practice Leads to understand individual resource development needs, opportunities to cross-train in new product areas, staffing concerns / limitations, and potential performance issues.
o Coordinating with Infor Campus on any approved training for individual resources based on professional development plans discussed with PMs and / or Practice Leads.
o Generating reports for the RM leadership team on actual and projected utilization for projects, unassigned time, PTO / Holiday time, etc.
o Reviewing Utilization reports and escalating to RM leadership team any resources that are over- and under-utilized
o Ensuring all resource requests are entered in the system correctly and are complying with system requirements
o Responding to and staffing all resource requests assigned to the Resource Planning Manager in Polaris with direct supervision and guidance from Manager.
This includes the workflow of the resource request, proposed options, confirmed resource, and closing the request. (need to know more on this)
o Monitoring skills catalog in Polaris once per quarter run an audit to ensure this is done. Monitoring resources’ internal resumes to ensure they are on the approved internal Infor resume template and are updated every 6 months
o Serving as the go-to resource for new hires / resources regarding questions and / or guidance on writing / updating their internal resume and inputting / updating their skills in the system
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Bachelors degree of any course relevant to Management or Human Resources
3+ years of experience in Resource Management, Project Management and Reporting.
Has experience working with ASEAN countries
Willing to work in BGC
