The Role

As a Risk Analyst , you will ensure that operational risks across the Bank and its subsidiaries are properly identified, monitored, controlled and reported within the standardized ORM framework and in accordance with Bank policies.

You will review and conduct Risk Assessment of bank-wide policies, products, processes, projects and systems. You will be responsible for the propagation of Operational Risk Management awareness and ORM tools within branches, head office and subsidiaries.

How you'll contribute

  • Reviews and Risk Assessment of bank-wide policies, products, processes, projects and systems.
  • Recommends improvements and enhancements to bank policies, products, processes, projects and systems.
  • Develops and recommends operational risk-related policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible for the propagation of Operational Risk Management awareness and ORM tools.
  • Develops Operational Risk Management training programs for Operational Risk (OR) Coordinators.
  • Provides guidance in the implementation of ORM tools, policies, procedures & guidelines bankwide.
  • Bankwide implementation of operational risk management tools and policies.
  • Promotes reporting of incidents, issues, process lapse & / or error loss / fraud across the Bank.
  • Facilitates meeting with relevant business managers and assists in managing their Ops Risk items.
  • What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance / Accountancy / Banking
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in risk management or audit or quality assurance or information security
  • Highly analytical and computer skills required including Excel & PowerPoint. Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to make effective presentations on controversial or complex topics to management or relatively big groups
