POSITION OVERVIEW
The Fund Accountant primarily involves owning managing the disbursement of company funds and ensuring vendors are treated as business partners.
Responsibilities
Preparation of daily unit prices and update of general ledger / unit pricing system and supporting work papers.
Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations.
Monthly management accounts preparation including commentary.
Monthly regulatory and tax reporting (BAS etc.)
Quarterly compliance lodgements.
Assist with drafting statutory accounts including reconciliations and collating documents.
Multiple ad-hoc tasks including preparation of analysis in response to queries from both internal and external parties.
Ability to assist other teams in the organisation (E.g. fund management, operations, wider business) when required.
Contribute to process improvement across daily / monthly tasks.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Accountancy or any Business related course, Certified Public Accountant is prerequisite for this role
Must have at least 2 years of work experience in the related field
Candidates with experience in Unit Pricing is preferred but not required
With experience in Funds Management or Financial services industries is an advantage
Preferably with working knowledge in PFS Paxus Fund Accounting / Sage software
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advance) and must have strong English communication skills
Proactive with good interpersonal skills and a team player. Can able to work with conflicting deadlines and priorities.
Motivated, 'hands-on' individual with initiative, an inquisitive mind and a willingness to deal with any number of tasks which need attention.
Must be willing to work in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, in an early morning shift
Target commencement date for this role is on January 2020
