Role Purpose
The Import / Export Assistant will provide support to the Manager and assist with the preparation of import and export documents in compliance with customs and government regulations.
Qualifications
1. Graduate of any Bachelor’s degree in Business Course, Customs or related fields.
2. At least one year of experience in customs warehouse or similar setting
3. Prior experience preparing customs and shipping documents preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Source and coordinate with foreign and local customer and supplier for product import and export.
2. Provide efficient coordination and provide optimal level of customer services and resolve all shipment issues.
3. Monitor and resolve all customs inquiries and request to obtain product certification for all export and import products for custom clearance.
4. Assist to obtain all required import permits and export licenses for all processes.
5. Ensure regulations to all import and export processes and evaluate all new custom requirements.
6. Tracks sales data, manage and attend trade shows.
7. Forecast production requirements for import.
8. Prepares Sales Report
9. Monitor foreign currencies and exchange rates.
10. Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges and customs fee are billed correctly.
11. Coordinates with brokers for shipments.
12. Research labeling requirements of countries if export and communicate with Quality Assurance.
13. Coordinate with Product Development department to prepare marketing materials.
14. Other duties that may be assigned.
