The Marketing Specialist - Directories, Awards & Surveys (DAS) will join a growing team responsible for the coordination and drafting of submissions for directories, awards, and surveys, alongside the creation of data analyses and reports on Firm and competitor rankings, in a bid to raise the profiles of partners and celebrate the work of Baker McKenzie.
This person will play a key role in implementing consistent standards, processes, and best practices for submissions and rankings.
He / she will work with relevant groups (ie, practices, industries, regions / offices) for submission writing and process, liaising with third party directory contacts on research guidelines and best practices, and leading / supporting strategic quality initiatives.
Responsibilities :
Directory, Awards & Surveys support
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to create reports / products, direct process protocols, and identify complementary offerings and best practices across the submissions process
Review and / or share research guidelines and best practices through direct liaison with third-party contacts, including Chambers and Legal 500
Work as part of the central dedicated global Directories, Awards & Surveys team to coordinate submissions documents that highlight the Firm's work over the past 12 months for both law firm ranking purposes and awards opportunities
Support survey submissions through research and data gathering, liaising directly with key stakeholders to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the process
Reports and analysis
Develop high level and strategic reports, dashboards, and analyses on Firm and competitor rankings for the major legal directories
Correlate research findings from the directories to the Firm's league table rankings (for the transactional groups) and overall performance across practice and industry groups in identified jurisdictions through audits or deep-dives
Provide actionable insights / recommendations on improving the quality of Firm rankings based on research findings
Conduct customized research and analyses, as needed
Support for directories platforms and processes
Manage overall upkeep of robust Firm trackers, including the Firm recognitions database, submissions repository, and submissions calendar
Maintain the directory submissions, rankings, and awards page in BakerWorld
Develop and maintain supporting documentation and training resources, including best practices documents
Identify and lead improvement initiatives to ensure strategic support to the overall directory submissions process
Skills and Experience :
Relevant experience in research and analysis, report development, and database management
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Tableau
Experience in using content management and usage-reporting software
Experience, aptitude, and interest in technology is required
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written English
Strong analytical skills and experience
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to prioritize and work independently with limited supervision

Experience working in a legal or professional services environment is a plus
Experience working in an international organization is a plus
Knowledge of HTML is a plus
