Your team responsibilities

We are searching for developer to join our global team to working on MSCI's 3rd party portfolio development.

The candidate will work in agile group closely with business analysts in Manila, Budapest, Monterrey, Berkley, Pune to support / maintain and enhance current ETL like tool / processes.

This data service processes delivers vendor specific benchmark, index and constituent data in a normalized model sufficient for applications to implement performance attribution and related functionality on client portfolios.

This system is continually enhanced in response to the introduction of new investment products, changes in investment management strategy, and changes to upstream applications.

Our new team member should also play a key role in migration / transition project of current system to Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, so experiences with any cloud provider is a big advantage.

Since employee's safety is highly prioritized by MSCI, WFH is required during COVID-19 crisis and it will be fully supported afterwards.

    Your key responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of data loaders written in object-oriented Perl
  • Support a web application written in python, javascript, and Django
  • Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven global environment
  • Collaborate with Business Data analysts on a daily basis
  • Assist with production deployment and post-production LVL3 support
  • Complete code enhancements for the existing processes
  • Working and supporting all parts of the Azure cloud transition
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight, short-term deadlines
  • Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science / finance
  • 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in the design and coding of applications
  • 3+ Experience with objected-oriented Perl, good knowledge of Linux / Unix environments
  • Practical experience with relational databases Oracle, MSSQL.
  • A self-starter and highly motivated, ability to work individually and within a team
  • Take the ownership habit in a put the client first production stability team
  • Experience with any version control system preferably GIT
  • Excellent English Communication skills
