The Senior Art Director is leading and overseeing visual design initiatives for some of Code and Theory's biggest and most innovative clients.
Code and Theory combines sophisticated strategy, experience design and elegant technology to create effective brand experiences integrating online and offline channels to engage our clients’ customers, convert prospects and increase sales.
The Senior Art Director is someone with experience working on large-scale engagements for some of Code and Theory’s most valuable clients.
The Senior Art Director has a solid understanding of Code and Theory's process and methodologies, works closely with senior members of the strategy and user-experience team, copywriters, developers, PM’s and AD’s.
He / She knows the Code and Theory i5 process and can lead and direct projects from a visual design point of view.
The Sen. Art Director works closely with the Creative Director to continuously improve Rhythm’s creative output, process and collaboration between departments to ensure Code and Theory's superior quality output while maintaining efficiencies throughout the organization.
The Senior Art Director also plays a vital role in continuously improving the quality output of pillar 2 while maintaining a high level of efficiency.
He / she also ensures that projects are delivered within budget and timeline from a creative point of view.
Responsibilities and Expectations :
Develop creative concepts and directions from creative or strategic plans
Ensure exceptional design execution through design production to site launch
Mentor, supervise and train junior and mid-level design team members
Delegate day-to-day responsibilities to other designers
Ensure quality and feasibility of all design related efforts
Present clear ideas and concepts to clients and other team members
Be both hands-on and provide clear direction for others
Continuously improve quality while maintaining a high level of efficiency
Represent and Rhythm’s culture and standards within the company and to clients
Experience and Knowledge :
5+ years of hands on experience creating effective brand experiences
4+ years of experience at a top digital agency in an Art Director role or similar
Direct client interaction experience with the ability to build relationships, understand client
vision / direction and present designs and concepts
Experience working collaboratively with strategists, UX and UI designers and copywriters to
build great user and brand experiences
Highly conceptual thinking in both visual and interaction design
Strong communication skills working with the client and design team
Strong desire to define the look and feel of what is next in visual and interaction design
Strong interest in and following of latest design trends, technology and social media
A solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, user interfaces, and
