About the Opportunity

As an Air Quality and Noise Specialist, candidate must be able to conduct data gathering, assessment, field surveys, and report writing for the modular reports related to the discipline such as climate and meteorology, greenhouse gas assessment, and the review and understanding of the science of climate change and climate change projections.

Post is office-based but will be deployed on field as necessary.

  • Design and conduct field assessment and monitoring programs for air quality and noise
  • Write modular, monitoring, and compliance reports for air quality, GHG assessment, and noise monitoring
  • Assist in running models for air and noise dispersion.
  • Calculate project-specific greenhouse gas emissions based on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessment and formulate environmental management plan for Air Quality and Noise.
  • Keep updated on relevant environmental regulations for the Air module with interface with relevant regulatory agencies as necessary
  • Assist in the management of EIA, environmental compliance, and environmental monitoring projects.
  • Understand the quality management systems and apply them on projects.
  • About You

  • Master / Bachelor of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics or Environmental Science.
  • Have 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • EIA certification from DENR preferred.
  • Knowledge of air quality and noise assessment and monitoring and GHG accounting in accordance with DENR and IPCC guidelines respectively.
  • Understanding of environmental impact assessment, environmental compliance, and the environmental permitting process.
  • Willing to travel on short or long-term field assignments to conduct environmental surveys or monitoring work.
  • Excellent technical skills with the ability to write, review, and consolidate reports as required
  • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to work under pressure
