The Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) role at NI is a customer centric role focused on achieving customer success using NI products and services across the geographical territory of the ASEAN countries.
Responsible for growing revenue sustainability within a defined territory, ISEs work with a wide variety of customers, across many industries and applications areas.
By applying both technical and business acumen skills, ISEs work collaboratively with customers to understand and help uncover needs and areas where NI can help impact customer business issues and create value.
By managing a territory and developing prioritized, customer accounts, the core focus of an ISE is to find, develop and win opportunities to grow the territory revenue and achieve or exceed quota.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within B2B sales and a technical environment or background. This is an office-based role, so the ability to stay focused and be self-motivated is crucial, however you must also be a team player and work with the wider Sales organisation to ensure quota is met.
Duties and Responsibilities : The Inside Sales Engineer will undertake the following duties and responsibilities as a part of their role : Achieve / Exceed Sales quota for the territory :
Drive towards achieving and exceeding quarterly sales quotas by creating, managing and winning sales opportunities, working jointly with appropriate members of the sales team (Field Sales / Inside Sales / Systems Engineers / Sales Managers / Account Managers / Business Development Managers / Academia etc.)
Maintain high customer contact activity :
Maximize time spent working with customers.
Develop and execute territory business plan.
Actively participate in Sales & Marketing events, onsite events and trade shows when required.
Explore new business potential in customer accounts by finding referrals and expanding contact base.
Be an active member of the Sales team :
Participate actively in Sales meetings and events.
Have a motivational attitude with colleagues.
Express individual thoughts openly and objectively.
Provide quality feedback on Company issues.
Provide regular updates :
Produce visit reports, provide metric information and update opportunities within the CRM system on a weekly basis.
Sell the entire product range :
Develop required skills to sell the complete product range.
Identify areas of training required.
Provide feedback about competition.
Identify new products required and provide feedback.
Qualify and Recommend next high potential accounts by opportunity management and systematic customer engagement process
The Ideal candidate will exhibit the following :
Engineering or Physics Degree
Strong proven experience within a technical sales or customer facing engineering role.
Be fluent in business level English
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Powerpoint, Excel)
Good attention to detail and time management skills
Understood customer’s buying process and business-acumen to guide through the whole process with customer
Previous exposure to Salesforce.com
Understanding of LabVIEW and the NI Product suite
Show strong technical understanding with exposure to the test and measurement industry
