Job Description

The EUC Specialist will be part of the tactical solutions development team, participating in design, development, maintenance and optimization of Microsoft Office applications.

It is a pre-requisite to have a strong background in Microsoft Access, Excel, and VBA programming. The ability to dissect and enhance existing Access databases and Excel / VBA applications is critical to this role.

The role will be also responsible for the transition of existing reports and applications to a more sustainable environment.

This person should be able to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced team-driven environment, and communicate well with business and technical personnel.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Sharepoint and Database administration - develop wide range of spreadsheet modelling applications and database / web mining tools utilizing SQL and VBA for applications.

Includes manipulation and development of automated spreadsheets and database applications through VBA programming. Maintain various Sharepoint sites for function business use.

2. Continuous Improvement - serve as a change agent by continuously searching and proposing more efficient ways of doing day to day activities.

Resolve relatively complex problems independently and partnering with relevant IT groups. Learn and use latest enterprise technology to enable functional requirements.

Contribute to cost fit initiatives

3. Technical Documentation and Process Manuals building

4. Risk Management Develop and ensure compliance with established quality standards and governance. Profile risks associated with proposed or existing solutions.

5. Stakeholder Management - effectively gather stakeholder requirements, through workshops and focus groups, and incorporate in the product.

Ensure that requirements are also aligned with the organization's direction. create user manual based on product and conduct training if necessary on product's functionality.

Qualifications :

  • Graduate of Accounting Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or anything related to digital solutions
  • Advanced Excel VBA experience required
  • Strong experience of optimizing performance in MS Excel
  • SQL Server and SSIS background, preferred
  • Good working knowledge on enterprise technology such as O365 suite, i.e. Sharepoint
  • Strong experience in data analysis and mapping
  • Effective verbal and written communication for both a technical and non-technical audience
  • Competencies :

  • Capable of gathering and validating requirements in order to resolve issues and problems

  • Good working knowledge on investments and finance, supporting business applications and procedures
  • Understands expectations that were set with client and recognizes when issues / events may affect delivery
  • Proven ability to quickly and easily adapt to changes within the business and organization
  • Good understanding of agile development
  • Well-developed planning and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work within project timelines
  • Competent at facilitating, creating materials and presenting level appropriate material in a small group meeting
  • Takes first steps to act on ideas and opportunities with minimal direction
  • Strives to seek out ways to improve team dynamics
