Roles and Responsibilities

Formulate Strategic Plans

  • Identifies potential new clients and business opportunities and persuades new customers to place its business with Meralco
  • Identifies short and long term business opportunities / threats for / to Meralco and its subsidiaries
  • Formulates integration, market development, and market penetration strategies for sales and revenue generation
  • Generate Sales and Manage Competition

  • Manages accounts with contracted capacity of 500 kW and up
  • Coordinates timely energization of projects for new and additional applications
  • Evaluates and offers products and customized customer solutions to meet / resolve customer needs and concerns.
  • Positions Meralco as the Distribution Utility of Choice to influence investments within the franchise area
  • Identifies specific power needs that lead to new business opportunities
  • Leads by influence through informal cross-functional teams

  • Acts as Project Manager for concerned stakeholders within One Meralco
  • Manages RES, Local RES and subsidiary concerns
  • Integrates the company to the business of customers and its suppliers

  • Evaluates feasibility of adopting new technologies, trends and practices that can support a client’s strategic directions and needs across its value chain
  • Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with key accounts, industries and associations that they belong to and support
  • Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering is a must for current requirement.
  • Knowledge of the Distribution Utility business
  • At least 5-8 years of sales experience
  • Track record of performance in a customer-centric, results-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to easily engage others in dialogue, convey sincere interest in building / deepening relationships and demonstrate a commitment to providing personalized service
  • Demonstrates ability to influence and collaborate with others outside of reporting authority to achieve shared goals
  • Applies strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet customers’ needs
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize and delegate while delivering results
  • Strong communication skills (including verbal, non-verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills
  • Is a change agent and self-motivated
