Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage professional employees and / or supervisors. Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline.
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan;
  • receives guidance from manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues or customers.

  • Strong ability to see the 'big picture' and able to implement strategies that align tasks / people / requirements for success in meeting the department goals
  • Effectively manages the day-to-day activities of the team including employee maintenance such as time off approvals, performance appraisals, and promoting a positive working environment
  • Maintains a manner of leadership and flexibility that diffuses pressure and promotes a team atmosphere
  • Provide training and mentoring to the team members. and be a team builder. Be self-motivated, constant learner ad adapt in a fast paced environment
  • Drives best practices for resilient platform, self-healing and CI / CD pipeline
  • Ensures resource workload is clearly defined and appropriately coordinated to meet timeliness of deliverables
  • Perform coaching, career planning, and performance management activities
  • Encourages an open, learning, and progressive environment to allow the team's exploration of new solutions
  • Effectively communicates the feasibility of requested deliverables and timelines to internal Business and Project Stakeholders
  • Assist with creation of road map and strategy, development, and implementation of new solutions
  • Maintain a working relationship with other departments to negotiate and coordinate work
  • Contribute to technical and solution review sessions with development team and partner teams
  • Ensure in the definition of standards and best practices for all current and new frameworks are followed
  • Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems
  • Guides, influences and persuades others either internally in other areas or externally with customers or agencies.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience required
  • Minimum 4 years’ people leader experience to include responsibility for team of diverse employees
  • Excellent leadership skills to mentor engineers
  • Ability to influence and work effectively with other departments, external vendors, and upward leadership
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to provide ad hoc team leadership in a focus area. Proven ability to manage individuals, and multiple (small) team-oriented projects in parallel.
  • Proven capability of helping individuals along a career focused path within a single companyProven capacity and willingness to recruit resources, build new resource networks, and retain resources.
