Job Description :
DEPARTMENT / GROUP : Manufacturing and Supply Chain REPORTS TO : Sourcing Sr. Supervisor JOB SUMMARY : This function is responsible for maintaining a close working relationship with our Suppliers in order to meet our quality objectives.
It integrates the departments involved (Planning, Finance, Transportation, Purchasing & Packaging Eng’g.) in order to source / negotiate with Suppliers, also responsible for contract management, negotiation, vendor management in the assigned area of commodities and services, including requisition review, bidding, evaluation, audit and follow-up.
leading conferences involving suppliers, engineers, purchasers, inspectors and other company personnel; facilitating material inspection, substitution, standardization and vendor / company partnering.
Coordinates with GSC team to comply with STP metrics and coordinates with local team on action items in making sure that TQRDC and Supplier Responsibility Code are followed.
Coordinates with GSC AP and buying team for any disputes pertaining with order and payment. Prepares procurement and usage reports by collecting and analyzing cost, quality, user, vendor and other information.
Uses sourcing theories and practices to provide guidance and / or training to lower level co-workers within the same or job related work group on moderately complex duties.
Handles a variety of inquiries and develops solutions for moderately complex issues. Solutions are often based on the review of prior practices and / or experiences in similar situations.
Most complex problem solving may require the use of experience, analysis, and research to resolve. Uses intermediate analytical skills to analyze trends or data, working tasks might include : a.
Identifies alternative Sources of Supply (SOS) as required for price and risk mitigation strategies; drives the validation of alternatives with assistance from supervisor as Education : Engineering Graduate, or Business Administration Graduate (preferably CPA), or Bachelor of Science in Commerce Graduate, or any four (4) year Business Course Experience : 2 years experience in Procurement / Outsourcing role Knowledge in procurement and computerized system operation, experience in Accounting, Banking, Marketing, Research, Planning or Package Engineering would be an advantage.
Knowledge or background on SAP is a plus advantage needed b.) Takes part in negotiations with suppliers to assure established quality standards and volumes are met c.
Assists in contract administration and execution through analysis of performance against contract and verification of contract rebate awards d.
Obtains supply market data on the competitiveness of current and potential suppliers. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
