Shell Mexico is a new market entry for Downstream mainly covering Retail and Trading & Supply; representing a unique opportunity for Shell to be a part of an industry that has recently deregulated after 75 years and is the 5th largest gasoline market in the world.

Finance Operations Hydrocarbon (FOH) will play a key role in the successful growth of this new business. This is an exciting development opportunity for us in Hydrocarbon Management (Manila) as we currently support the existing Downstream businesses in the US and Canada, both Oil and Chemicals.

To effectively support this growth opportunity, we will be forming a core project team in HM to work towards the set-up, integration, and implementation of the HM processes leading up to the go-

live of the Supply activities in mid-2019. The core project team is expected to eventually transition to be the first joiners’ of the run and maintain operations team at go-

live and play a critical role in stabilizing the process through at least the first 3-4 years post go-live.Operate scope in the area of Settlements with different dimensions (ex.

special challenge would be issues currently being encountered due to peculiarity and set-up issues being a new market entry)Has very good knowledge of the respective own sub process and use general knowledge on E2E HM / MHI Process .

  • Is able to back up the operators in the respective area of accountability, and support during MEC, including other teams from the given sub processGive constructive input to the issue resolution in the team;
  • take over identified actions and different type of requests from stakeholders assigned by TM / SpecialistEnsure effective KPIs analysis by identifying root causes, implementing and monitoring improvement plans;
  • present results from own area of accountability to different parties within Hydrocarbon organisation and BusinessProactively raise issues to be discussed with S&I, Pillar Owner, Process Experts and GRA to drive operational excellence and effective Control FrameworkTeam support -

    use VMs to raise concerns and issues provide supporting documentation / information to Specialist / TM / STM and different stakeholdersProvide information and explain all the concerns on the process / Control Framework to internal and external auditors including facilitation of the talkthrough / walkthrough meetingsAble to identify and contribute to process improvements and simplificationAdditional Information : Key Challenges : Broad understanding of the business processes operated by FOH across the ERP systems and knowledge of other FO H operating practices.

    Expertise in project and stakeholder management, working with business management and project staff at varying levels of seniorityRapid establishment of personal credibility, strong influencing skills and the ability to maintain personal resilience and robustness in the face of challenge and pressurePromoting and operating a one-

    team environment, whereby FOH is an integrated and respected equal partner in the implementationThe working environment will be very dynamic, and the incumbent will need to be adept at dealing with those changes and the associated stress and ambiguity.

    Much of the work requires dealing with FO and business staff in a virtual environment.RequirementsTechnical, functional and / or operational expertise of the specific Hydrocarbon process pillars (E2E is a plus, Settlements is a pre-

    requisite). Role requires heavy issue handling and resolution.Finance process knowledge a financial accounting qualification or extensive experience of finance accounting processes / practices.

    A hunger to learn, adaptability, flexibility.Team working ethic - sustains high motivation levels in teams, which operate under tight deadlines to meet project deliverables.

    Strong project and stakeholder management skills to enable delivery of multiple projects to tight timelines.Strong analytical skills.
