Course Hero is scaling! We are hiring an experienced TEAM LEADER(Accounting and Finance Team) to lead our rapidly growing Content Operations team in the Philippines.

This is a high visibility and impact role : you will own the strategy and execution for building and engaging a large team of content development professionals and play a critical role in the success of the company’s key growth initiatives.

Job Purpose :

Attend to the day-to-day operations of the group and achieve its target output by ensuring teams are motivated, capable, supported, and developed and operate within business standards and objectives.

Description :

  • As a Team Leader, you will manage an in-house team and contractors working remotely under the Content Review Group. This will involve managing a team of subject matter experts or content developers and leads across a variety of related subjects;
  • supervising team members across various functions both in fixed and flexible work shifts; managing their tasks and performances, and leading them into creating a work environment that this positive, safe and productive.

    This role will ensure that service level agreements, business standards, quality output, and targets are efficiently and consistently met.

    This role will collaborate with other managers to develop, implement, and evaluate the management team's initiated projects.

    Leadership and Management

    Become a strategic partner to the client by recommending initiatives addressing issues and managing risks.

    Make data-driven decisions by collating, correlating, and analyzing data from multiple sources.

    Facilitate resolution of conflicts by ensuring feedback is heard and acted upon promptly and escalating cases where appropriate.

    Build trust and confidence from the team and colleagues by demonstrating integrity, exemplary work ethics, and appropriate leadership styles.

    Lead effective communication among team members and other stakeholders by ensuring information is cascaded, actions are implemented,communication rhythm is established, and the feedback loop is completed.

    Support team members by addressing employee concerns or ensuring completion. Contribute to organization success through initiatives that streamline processes and produce effective results.

    Maintain accuracy of reports by ensuring the reliability of data from files and drives used by the team.

    Build a repository of job aid materials by developing and maintaining process & training documents, standards, and project information.

    Keep business owners and relevant teams up to date with the group performance by providing weekly operational service level reports and updates.

    Assist in the hiring and screening process by updating, creating, or scoring assessments for applicants.

    Help manage the capacity and productivity of the team by regularly monitoring reports, briefing the group on metrics, and raising flags on time.of requested HR services.

    Build company culture and values by engaging employees in creating a safe, fun, and positive work environment.

    Performance Management

    Be accountable for the group & individual performance by achieving KPI, ensuring the accuracy of metrics, identifying performance gaps, and recommending solutions.

    Develop team members by conducting and documenting regular coaching / mentoring sessions and recommending and implementing necessary developmental or corrective interventions.

    Set team members for success by providing relevant training, feedback, and necessary support to meet their goals.

    Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals.

    Operational Excellence

    Contribute to organization success through initiatives that streamline processes and produce effective results.

    Maintain accuracy of reports by ensuring the reliability of data from files and drives used by the team.

    Bachelor's / College Degree in any of the following : Business, Management, Accounting, and Finance or an MBA degree.

    Has relevant industry training or certification

    At least three year(s) of experience in the same role (Lead / Supervisor)

    Has led or managed a team, handling projects, resource scheduling, setting metrics and monitoring team performance & compliance

    Proficient working with computers - experience with Chrome and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Hangouts) is a must.

    Adept at managing teams online or remotely.

    Autonomous, self-starter with a can-do attitude

    A positive attitude with outstanding work ethic

    Strong organizational skills with keen attention to details and accuracy

    Solutions-oriented and results-focused

    A team leader

    Must be willing to collaborate face-to-face occasionally.

    Qualification

    Bachelor's / College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Professional License (Passed Board / Bar / Professional License Exam)
