Supervise the shift, people, equipment andmachinery to produce products as efficiently as possible while meeting allother Corporate and Business Unit guidelines in the areas of, but not limitedto, occupational safety, food safety, quality, production efficiency andfinancial performance.
OPERATIONALPERFORMANCE, CUSTOMER FOCUS AND CONTINUOS IMPROVEMENT
Directly supervises production section;outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirementsare within specifications.
Ensures all pre-defined KPIs targets are met orout performed.
Supports BU / Plant customer relationship bymeeting businesses objectives and understanding how operational performanceimpacts internal / external customers.
Supports, deploys and provides input to best inclass operational practices.
Utilizes deep technical skills and relevantexperience to identify / solve problems and recommends / implements operatingefficiencies.
Champions a culture that promotes operational excellence. Recommendsprocess improvements, and supports business case for newinvestments / innovations.
Provide and ensures proper manning to supportday to day activity
Supervises and provides coaching to it’sproduction crew, including coaching Cargill’s core values.
Assists in planning for future productionworkforce needs and participates in selection of employees.
Accountable for production talent developmentand engagement within a sector / department.
Responsible for training and on boardingnew / transferred employees as well as workforce engagement, recognition,development and coaching.
Conducts PMP employee appraisals.Assist in setting standards and objectives.
Providetraining, timely re-training and coaching to all of his subordinates.
Applies disciplinary actions when needed.
ENVIROMENTHEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS)
Ensures direct reports are following policiesand procedures related to employee safety and food / feed Safety.
Partners / collaborates with Environment, Health andSafety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) experts toimplement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safetypolicies and procedures :
Health & Safety : Enforces a culture of zeroinjury and illness.
Environmental : Understands and proactively avoidenvironmental impact and potential risk to the businesses.
Food Safety : Directly monitors risks associatedwith products. Ensures HACCP / FDA requirements are met in all food and feedprocesses.
Educates workforce in the food safetyfundamentals and completes safety inspections and housekeeping audits.
Documents and investigates EHS / Food Safety incident data to identifyrisks and recommend mitigation actions (i.e. safety index, RIFR, food safetyindex, CFSRA and FDA audits).
GOODMANUFACTURING PRACTICE (GMP)
Ensure shop floor orderliness and appreance.
Support housekeeping program, and ensures the line passes housekeepingaudit regularly and use its findings to improve current set-
up to achieve WorldClass standard. Others : Perform otherfunction as needed from time to time.
Any engineering degree / other technical degree,Food Science Courses ( Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry)
At least 5 years experience in a manufacturingenvironment with people handling preferably coming from FMCG ( Food,Pharmacetical, etc.
Extensive experience and knowledge of Safety andQuality requirements, Plant Hygiene and Sanitation
Customer-oriented and with good leadership andplanning ability
Ability to understand and analyze data, issuesand provide solutions using tools such as 5 Why’s, Root-cause analysis, etc
Team-player, action oriented with proficientcommunication skills
Self-motivated and can work under pressure
Can work on a shifting basis and extended hours
Can work with minimum supervision and a selfstarter
Computer literate (especially MS Excel and MSOffice) and knowledgeable in manufacturing work practices
