We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our highly successful Innovation team based in Philippines.

Reporting to the Manager, R&D Cheese & Groc AMEA, Global RD&Q Meals, the R&D Scientist is responsible to lead R&D product development work, and supporting cross-

functional projects from an R&D perspective in accordance to the Process Cheese Growth and Productivity Platform strategy.

Projects / studies can vary from research, analysis, bench-top and pilot plant trials, through to full-scale plant trials and commercialization of new products or processes.

This key role requires sufficient technical knowledge and ability to provide solutions to problems, ensures compliance to regulatory requirements, internal systems and processes (i2M etc).

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to) :

  • Project Planning
  • Obtains understanding of project objectives and how this supports business goals
  • Prepares basic project plans for assigned projects / tasks
  • Program / Project Support & Implementation
  • Execute R&D related tasks according to agreed project plan
  • Gather and analyze data in a logical fashion
  • Record and document technical data
  • Process / Product Specification & Regulatory
  • Prepares all necessary technical documents & specifications
  • Participate in product assessment against regulations, intellectual property, and corporate standards
  • Organisation Excellence & Development
  • Acquires understanding of the development process
  • Acquires working knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Qualifications

    Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor degree in a technical field (Food Science, Engineering, Packaging, Chemical Sciences, Biology) or equivalent
  • Should have a basic understanding of the methods for process development & R&D.
  • Strong communication and project management skills along with the ability to think strategically, and influence effectively are also key attributes for this position.
  • Previous experience working with dairy technologies and ingredients will be ideal.
