Job Duties Candidate will be responsible for electrical and electronic component evaluation, qualification and approval for Lexmark corporate electronic parts catalog.
This includes analysis of supplier specifications, qualification and reliability reports. Applicant will also perform lab testing, reliability assessments, as well as database integrity and updates.
Other development support duties include PCB layout, prototype assembly and debug. In all cases, the applicant will work as part of a larger international team composed of development engineers, manufacturers, and supply chain personnel. Specific Job Examples
Provides new part specifications, selects vendors, qualifies parts
Locates, selects, and qualifies alternate vendors
Insure parts and processes used meet RoHS, WEEE and other environmental standards
Implement component qualification work
Maintenance of pertinent engineering records to update latest approved components
BS / MS in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Experience in design, evaluation of common electronic components. Must have gained solid background in evaluating common electronics component parameters
Reliability and statistics skills and experience are a plus
A PCB Layout skill is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good organization, documentation and presentation skills
Willing and able to travel to corporate headquarters, China corporate office and contract manufacturing sites for training or work assignment, when required
