Proposal and Contract engineer is responsible to provide the support within the scope of the services which meet both client needs and ROSEN’s capabilities, inline with the sales strategy by ensuring that exposure to technical risks is minimized.

The person also providing and controlling all essential financial / commercial information considering (bid-, contract-, project-

and company-) requirements & rules, commercial risk assessment, project budget and cash-flow projection.Supervising financial target of a project by monitoring costs and revenue based on project budget and cash-flow projection.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Clarify of tender, scope of work and contract requirements related to ROSEN’s Product and Services portfolio
  • Clarify of tender, scope of work and contract requirements related to technical know how to perform the works
  • considering resources capability
  • Finding and discussing additional scope and efforts with operational processes where required
  • Support Project budget draft
  • Support proposal and contract specific documentations related to technical aspects
  • Determine correct product and services needed to fulfill the Project
  • Support contract review prior to formalization
  • Identify , analyze and assess commercial risks during project acquisition and execution phase in line with company
  • rules, customer expectations and sales strategy
  • Create / estimate draft project budget and cash-flow for a bid and change request
  • Provide commercial solution(s)
  • Determine & update detailed project budget and cash-flow projection
  • Monitor and control costs and revenue via project budget
  • Monitor and control the cash-flow
  • Consolidate commercial / financial overview in general and detail
  • Support the Sales Manager, Project Manager and the Procurement Lead during financial / commercial negotiations with
  • customer / subcontractor
  • Identify and analyze deviations in project budget and cash-flow projection
  • Contribute lessons learned at project closure
  • Duties
  • Stay up-to-date with ROSEN product and services portfolio
  • Follow the sales strategy
  • Consider the previous history of client , object and resource related
  • Negotiate technical solutions with operational processes
  • Forecaste the operational cost and risks associated with the technical solutions
  • Update related information into the ROSEN databases and filing system
  • Highlight unsolved conflict / issues to Sales Manager on product, processes that can give impact to technical risk
  • Report regularly on commercial progress and potential deviations from project budget / cash-flow projection
  • Escalate commercial / financial conflicts in case they are not solvable within the team
  • Provide required commercial / financial information to team roles so that they can execute their responsibilities
  • Monitor and control financial / commercial progress in time via Project budget and cash-flow projection
  • Inform directly in case of claims / deviations / changes from commercial / financial target or other risks that might occur
  • Interfere / escalate in case commercial / financial targets are at risk
  • Requirements

    Candidates must possess a Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 -5 years of work experience in proposal and contract process management and / or technically relevant work experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office
  • Result oriented and able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
