We assist our clients in assessing the strategic fit of a business by analyzing all aspects of a transaction, addressing the potential hidden costs, projecting the impact to brand equity and considering tax and accounting implications.
We work with our clients throughout the transaction life cycle, helping them achieve their strategic objectives across acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs, buy-ins, fundraisings, Initial Public Offerings, mergers and strategic reviews.
We are seeking to grow the origination and execution capacity of the team through the recruitment of an experienced corporate finance or an M&A professional at Senior Manager level.
Responsibilities Working with a Partner, you will : Originate and deliver transaction ideas, identify opportunities, open and leverage on relationships Support new business development, lead the development of pitch documents and take a lead role in client pitches Liaise with and advise clients on transaction strategy including tactics, deal structuring and negotiation strategy, providing genuine sector and transaction insight and displaying deep understanding of the strategic rationale for transactions Lead multiple projects and transactions at any given time Act as a main contact point for clients during the transaction process Play a critical role as the senior associate on teams, driving the transaction timetable and ensuring quality on all client deliverables, as well as managing counterparties (including identifying and contacting potential investors) and other advisers to ensure transaction milestones are met Develop deep sector expertise and your own business network, assuming responsibility for the development of SGV’s franchise as well as your own origination capabilities in those sectors over the medium term Interact with different specialists within the firm, and colleagues across the globe, to deliver enhanced transaction solutions Lead, develop and counsel junior colleagues, and take an active role in the growth and development of the whole team Requirements Track-record of originating and executing corporate finance deals in an investment banking, corporate finance or corporate development environment.
Strong experience leading corporate finance or M&A processes (marketing, due diligence, etc.), analysis (financial models, valuation, buyer / seller universe, strategic alternatives, etc.
ability to identify potential deal opportunities Ability to source, interpret and use information in a strategic evaluation process, making sensible assumptions where appropriate Demonstrated confidence in client situations, gaining client acceptance and establishing value through advice and sector insight Experience in working on tight deadlines, thinking clearly under pressure and maintaining team morale during lengthy and challenging transactions Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Strong verbal and written communication skills Team leadership, counselling or coaching experience is desirable MBA or banking qualifications preferred Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's / College Degree in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent.
At least 3-5Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Required Skill(s) : Merger, Acquisition, Merger and Acquisition, M&A Preferably specialized in Finance - General / Cost Accounting or equivalent.
