Job description
TECHNICAL DATA STANDARDS
Conducts time studies in manufacturing areas to establish Units per Hour (UPH) per station per package and per device.
Establishes UPH for new packages through parametric capacity simulations as needed in RFQ and IEDB as well as capacity planning, CAR creation.
Validates and checks UPH standards regularly
Checks actual machine utilization and recommend actions for improvement
Establishes processing time including post operation and pre-operation time for existing packages
Drive equipment parameter optimization and standardization-Works with equipment / process owners for the parameter optimization
MATERIAL STANDARD
Calculates, establishes and maintains material consumption standards (Material Reject Factor / PRIS Std) for existing products and highlights areas / opportunities for further improvement
Simulates material consumption standards for incoming / new packages
Calculates, and monitors material wastages
Conducts Value Stream Mapping / waste elimination & improvement on Materials
COST SAVINGS DATA
Provides actual material consumption data to be used for cost savings calculation (monthly)
quantifies cost savings from improvement actions (monthly / as needed)
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING DATA BASE (IEDB)
Provides Inputs on technical standards and inventory in IEDB
Updates processing time, including pre and post operations time, parameter changes
PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT
Recommends productivity improvements such as Man to Machine Ratio (MMR) improvement, consolidation of functions, automation, elimination of non-value added activities (daily)
Establishes manufacturing workflow, systematic and efficient locations of peripherals, supply rooms and work cells. Identifies and eliminates manufacturing inefficiencies such as transportation, queuing time, inappropriate processing, etc. (as needed)
Conducts Operator and other DL workload analysis (activity based studies);
Establishes MMR standards and identifies opportunities for efficiency Improvements.(ex. Line sustaining techs MMR, activity based calculation of HC for Big Sisters, Material Handlers, Process control inspectors, Dry bake operators, other non-machine HC) (as needed)
Provides Value Added UPH standards.(as needed)
