WHAT DOES A LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST DO?
Responsible for the implementation and evaluation of the organizational wide learning programs from onboarding to individual development of the employees.
This position requires active involvement in the ideation, planning and execution of programs and key initiatives under Yondu University.
Key Responsibilities :
New Hire Integration Program
Facilitates effective New Hire Integration Program (NHIP).
Ensures seamless execution of the entire NHIP.
Monitors and reports the NHIP Evaluation Program. Presents improvement plan, if necessary, to the Group Manager.
Assesses the New Hire Integration Program flow and materials on a regular basis. Collaborates with Marketing, UI UX Design Team and HR Business Partners.
Provides recommendation or suggests improvement to the Group Manager to ensure the appropriateness and relevance of the NHIP.
Organizational Wide Training :
Gathers and consolidates training and budget plan from all Business Units.
Ensures that Internal Stakeholders (Business Unit Heads and / or Line Managers) are aware of their respective Training Budget and Training Plan and executes alignment on a regular basis.
Partners with Internal Stakeholders for continuous improvement and relevance of Yondu University to the learning and development needs of employees.
Evaluates the Training Requirements and recommends Training Partners / Vendors to Internal Stakeholders.
Administers the arrangements of internal and external training programs based on Training Budget and Individual Development Plan.
Manages employee expectations related to Training Programs and explains Training Bond if applicable. Monitors training bond and endorses applicable charges to C&B for resigned employees.
Monitors and reports the training evaluation from Level 1 to Level 3.
Monitors and reports the Actual Utilization vs Budget of Training Programs (Cost, Unique Head Count and Hours) and Yondu University programs and initiatives.
2 3 years of experience in Training and OnBoarding
At least 1 year of work experience with an IT company.
Working knowledge in designing, implementing and evaluating training programs and training solutions.
Abreast with e-learning platforms and practices.
Technical / Functional Skills :
Knowledgeable in computer applications (i.e. Microsoft, Adobe, Canva, Presentation Tools)
Strong Communication and Presentation skills
Analytical and Reporting skills
Data Synthesis and Analysis
Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present to large audiences
Adept at influencing others, problem solving and offering pragmatic solutions.
