Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide testing support on systems releases, project implementations and project warranty support
  • Create functional / user interface test plans
  • Execute functional / user interface testing inclusive of validation of large data and reports
  • Execute regression testing including defect management
  • Ensure that the system solutions adhere to quality standards as per specifications
  • Ability to meet deadlines under tight work pressures, to manage tasks with accuracy, strong attention to detail;
  • Assist and / or identify areas of opportunities through detailed analysis and develop recommendations for improvement within testing process
  • Co-ordinate activities with the business to clear communicate test plan creation / execution and status on daily basis
  • Ability to identify gaps, document and communicate in timely manner to business analysts
  • Collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse team
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Assist senior staff in analyzing current business processes
  • Assist and / or identify root cause of problems and develop solutions to support stability of the production environment
  • Interpret, build upon and comply with company quality standards
  • Ability to interpret and monitor failed test results and correct issues in a timely manner
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5-6 years of progressive testing experience
  • Skilled in preparing test case and testing plans, excellent analysis and testing skills including data gathering, problem solving, test plan creation and execution, defect management
  • Must have excellent knowledge of MS applications specially Excel (vlookup, lookup’s, pivot table, sum ifs, formatting data, etc.
  • for large data validations

  • Solid knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and software development life cycle
  • Strong organizational skills, proven ability to establish priorities to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy, strong attention to detail; produce quality work
  • Possess a strong desire to understand the business with the capability to analyze and seek out answers with minimal direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate and build rapport with all levels of staff;
  • Ability to communicate proficiently with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Adaptable, flexible and comfortable working in a fast paced and frequently changing business environment;
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate and partner in a team environment with geographically dispersed Business stakeholders and peers
  • Ability to produce quality work and work to deadlines
  • Good understanding of systems environments, quality assurance and change management
  • Post-secondary education
  • Knowledge of VPA and business process an asset
  • Knowledge of QA applications an asset
