The opportunity

Develop your payroll experience with full end to end payroll processing across the APAC region. We

are looking for experienced payroll professionals with at least 1 year experience in Australia payroll.

Your key responsibilities

As Payroll Operate Service Staff, you will be responsible for the end to end payroll processing for

multiple clients including year-end. You will be spending most of your time maintaining payroll

information by collecting and entering / uploading data and updating payroll records. We’ll look to

you in maintaining employee data and payroll records and protecting employee records by keeping

information confidential. You will be contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as

needed.

You will be expected to know payroll legislation regarding your expertise country and use this

knowledge in your daily payroll tasks. There will be instances when this knowledge will be used in

answering queries and clarifications from your stakeholders. If needed, you will revise protocols

especially when issues arise from them. Other payroll duties may be asked of you from time to time

that will contribute to the overall success of the team and the business.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Updating payroll records by entering changes in components (e.g. but not limited
  • exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles and department / division

    transfers)

  • Preparing / extracting payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions,
  • leave, disability, and nontaxable wages

  • Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social
  • security taxes and other statutory payments as required

  • Resolving payroll discrepancies / queries by collecting and analyzing information
  • Analyses payroll information so as to answer questions and requests
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed
  • changes

  • Adhoc reporting and other duties as required
  • To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with Accounting, Psychology or any course
  • 1 year experience of full end to end payroll processing experience for Australia
  • Previous payroll experience in high volume, full function payroll
  • General Math and Data Entry Skills
  • Strong communications skills, written and verbal
  • A respect for confidentiality
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Good team-playing skills
  • Clear and logical thinking and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, thoroughness
  • Payroll related diploma / certificate will be advantageous, but not necessary
  • Multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines
  • Experience using large ERP system will be advantageous but not essential
