Business Process and Intranet Solutions (BPIS) team is part of AIG Corporate Business IT whose mission is to help their customers optimize and automate their business processes resulting in increased satisfaction and greater efficiency with quick time-

to-market products and services thus increasing agility and lowering cost. These solutions also provide increased collaboration among teams and full transparency of activities across the organization.

As part of the tool portfolio, BPIS leverages SharePoint, Appian, K2 and other solutions that enable us to reuse components and leverage out of the box functionality.

The focus of BPIS is to provide end-to-end solutions that can include a variety of technologies gravitating around the business process engines.

BPIS is a geographically distributed team serving finance, risk management, investments, treasury, legal and HR functions across the globe.

BPIS-Manila is an extension and a trusted development and support partner.

Your contribution at AIG

As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and / or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset.

Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.

We are seeking a Team Lead for BPIS Manila whose goal is to execute BPIS mission and help strengthen Organization goals. He or she is expected to define strategy and provide leadership to team on how Business Process and Productivity technologies can be implemented to meet the project initiatives.

  • Technical lead to manage development teams in support of multiple BPIS workflow initiatives.
  • Translate Functional requirements into Sprints, Product Backlog and development implementation.
  • Design, architect, guide and work with development teams to build BPM workflow solution uyilizing a combination of tools amd design methodologies.
  • Additional responsibilities include requirements gathering, analysis, estimation and customer interaction while adhering to corporate technology standards with a focus on Business Process Management methodologies.

  • Will be responsible for developing applications around the core concepts of business process management (BPM), productivity, collaboration, business intelligence or enterprise content management.
  • Specific work elements include assisting in project development, defining technical requirements and ensuring solutions are built per customer specification and adhering to organizational standards.
  • On-going support for applications; designing and customizing SharePoint and Appian solutions.
  • Design, architect and integration for content management, portals, collaboration, business process or other solutions; planning and assisting software version upgrade releases.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams with a variety of skills with effective and efficient delivery model
  • What we are looking for

  • Must be able to participate and assist in design, development, implementation, and maintenance of business process applications.
  • Should be comfortable with direct communication with multiple levels of technical, management and business resources.
  • May participate with customer in design reviews and technical briefings.
  • This position requires 5-10 years of related work experience and Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with a wide range of software development background in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-
  • based applications specifically experience with modern BPM platforms like Appian, Pega, IBM BPM, K2, SharePoint etc., in a variety of business environments.

  • As a developer must have excellent analytical skills, good knowledge of project life cycles and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • As an architect must be able layout the big picture and how individual application components can efficiently function.
  • Strong experience in Architecting / Building Web services, B2B web applications and exposure to Enterprise application integration.
  • As a team and project leader must focus on quality deliverables under the constraints of time and budget.
  • Ability to efficiently work with cross functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Good understanding of C#, .NET Framework (Microsoft stack) or Java / J2EE (Oracle stack).
  • Important technical skills include Appian or any BPM tools, SharePoint Server, ADO.NET, VB, HTML, CSS, JavaScript libraries, XML, SQL Server, Web Services, security, instrumentation, exception handling,
  • Experience with design and development of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards Sound knowledge in working with Relational Databases like Oracle / SQL Server etc.
  • and Reporting / Business Intelligence platforms like SSRS / Microstrategy / Cognos / PowerView / QlikView etc.

  • Experience of building and maintaining applications using object oriented methodology.
  • Sound understanding and experience of modern technologies - Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud and IoT. Strong Project Management skills.
  • Constantly check on team's capacity vs. demand and take appropriate actions.
  • Problem solver, go-getter with an ability to work in a high paced environment where Quality and timely deliverables are of paramount importance.
  • Quick learner with Innovation mindset.
  • Great communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Provide regular status reports to management.
  • Build metrics that can demonstrate progress as team and development efforts mature.
