JOB SUMMARY Responsible for collecting, updating, analyzing asset data, delivering, and validating sustainability program including energy, carbon, water, waste, and cost reductions across a Fortune 500 Client’s global real estate portfolio.
The Regional Energy, Sustainability & Technical Manager (RESTM) shall implement new technologies, identify cost savings opportunities, manage initiatives, and engage the CBRE platform team on issues related to energy, water consumption and waste reduction, energy-related capital projects, renewable energy, carbon emissions and critical environments.
JOB DESCRIPTION The role of RESTM is as follows :
Define, communicate, present, sell and implement innovative and efficient energy, carbon, water, waste reduction strategies and standards.
Perform on-site and / or off-site energy audits based on ASHRAE standards (Level 1, 2, with also Level 3 preferred) to identify no-cost, low-cost, capital intensive, and renewable energy projects, create compelling business cases and present.
Familiar with sustainability standards and frameworks such as TCFD, GRI, SASB, etc.
Identify and prioritize initiatives based on asset life cycle cost and enhancing CBRE / client reputation while engaging with CBRE’s Global Energy / Sustainability Services to implement sustainable products, processes, best practices, and technologies, to support the goals of reducing energy, water, and waste to manage environmental impact.
Oversee development and implementation of capital investment projects toward energy, water use and waste reduction including low / no cost energy savings programs in the region.
Partner with facility managers across the global portfolio throughout project development and implementation processes, including preparation of Statement of Work (SOW) and business cases for sustainability programs.
Develop, track, manage project expenditures, budgets and validate costing, savings measurement, and verification (M&V) for sustainability initiatives;
normalize and verify savings post-implementation including to understand and apply weather and other factors required to normalize energy consumption trends, patterns, and associated reports.
Support the account team in energy procurement, implementation of new and green technologies to meet reporting, compliance, sustainability and corporate social responsibility objectives and requirements.
Pro-actively collect data on CBRE and the account team for specific programs.
Support the team on data analytics- download, analysis, summaries, reports accurately and with Integrity to develop data-driven solutions.
Support the Operations in researching and sourcing new HSEQ and Engineering technologies and solutions available in the market.
Store and maintain records- technical data, drawings, documents, presentations.
Communicate regularly with CBRE account employees in the APAC region.
Support the Regional Engineer Manager as required.
QUALIFICATION Education / Experience
A degree or diploma in engineering or building services, preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering
An energy efficiency / low carbon qualification such as Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Professional Engineer, and LEED Accredited Professional are strongly desired.
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in energy efficiency and / or sustainability.
Experience of energy management including energy auditing, energy procurement, compliance, efficiency, and sustainability programs auditing.
Energy Program / Project Management
Demonstrable management skills, with ability to manage multiple complex work-streams and stakeholders.
Ability to manage budgets and deliver projects according to agreed schedules.
Strong understanding and demonstrated expertise with mechanical, HVAC and electrical building systems, building automation systems, load profile programs, lighting control systems, performance analytics, occupancy sensing, intelligent building systems and associated engineering calculations and studies, energy project implementation and Energy Star rating.
Ability and experience to conduct and carry out onsite and offsite ASHRAE standard energy audits (Levels 1 and 2, with also Level 3 preferred.
Strong quantitative, budget and program management skills to interpret data with trouble shooting ability to implement energy auditing, conservation, projects, recommissioning and M&V.
Keep up with regulations, changing trends and innovative technologies.
