As the SW Engineering Manager for NCR’s Advanced Checkout Solution, you will oversee areas of development, archive management, and quality assurance.
You will play a critical role in the delivery of the solution by ensuring the overall quality and stability of the solution.
About the solution : NCR Advanced Checkout Solution (ACS) offers a POS software package that maximizes customer throughput, while increasing productivity level of all store associates, lowering operational costs and extending promotional pricing capability.
NCR ACS POS software allows customers to differentiate their stores from all competitors and provide a pleasant, yet exciting, shopping experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : Supervise the team of Quality Assurance, Development, and Build Engineers Track and monitor quality metrics in real-
time Monitor quality of software developed in short cycles, while simultaneously maintaining the quality of the overall product Challenge and empower team members to grow, explore, question, and enhance the solution Manage team priorities and personnel activities Grow the automation solution to new levels of maturity Drive end-
to-end testing activities Monitor and assign incoming support issues Assist with customer deliveries and ensure development, build, and test schedules are met Provide visibility and insight to management as to current state of quality of product Utilize Agile processes Provide visibility and insight to management as to current state of team productivity QUALIFICATIONS : BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field Experience in managing a team of software professionals Proven track record of improving overall quality of software and processes Proven track record of ensuring and fostering best practices Strong process leadership Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills Demonstrate a strong attention to detail Demonstrate a sense of urgency and genuine concern for customer’s concerns and point of view Reliable, disciplined, organized, energetic, results-
