Job Summary :

The Purchasing Officer executes the comprehensive purchasing functions in compliance with mandated requirements. The employee must continuously work towards achieving department objectives and goals within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received. Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders of merchandise, supplies and equipment.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Monitorand ensure prompt arrival of goods
  • Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.

  • Fluent in both English and Filipino
  • Must be knowledgeable in management and procurement
  • Ability to solve problems in a logical way
  • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
  • Developing and building teams
  • Training and coaching others
  • Monitoring and controlling resources
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Candidate must be willing to report onsite in Quezon City and amenable to a 6 day workweek
