This position will be part of a Network Security Management team supporting Business and Technology initiatives. The primary responsibilities will be to analyze / validate requests and configurations and to configure the supported platforms to meet the goals.
This will include access control list review / planning, route and NAT features along with providing any needed analysis support with any access issues.
This individual will assist with reviewing existing tools, applications and processes to help strengthen and optimize current capabilities, as well as identify any gaps or technical solutions to further enhance the team’s effectiveness.
Additionally, the successful candidate will support leadership, business and technology teams with technical recommendations, documentation and reporting.
Extensive knowledge of firewalls, LAN / WAN, TCP / IP, DNS and troubleshooting techniques is required.
Must have’s :
Cisco Router / Switch experience
Cisco IOS experience
Cisco ASA experience (flexible here)
Experience with Cisco ASA5505 (less preferred)
Experience with Cisco ASA5520 and above (flexible here)
CCNA (sort of flexible here)
Good Communication / Customer-facing skills
Willingness to learn new technology
Flexibility on work hours as needed
Core / Distribution / Access layer knowledge
Enterprise network experience (flexible here)
No reservations about being on pager shifts (on-call)
ability to manually trace through network devices in a network (not using traceroute)
Must have (Any of below);
Cisco Nexus experience
Palo Alto experience
Service now or other enterprise ticketing experience
Spectrum or any device monitoring experience
Scripting (python, etc.) for making network tasks efficient / automated
CCNP Data Center
CCNP Routing and Switching
CCNP Service Provider
CCIE Data Center
CCIE Routing and Switching
CCIE Service Provider
