RingCentral Legal is seeking a Legal Operations Analyst to join the Legal Operations team.Youwillcollaboratewith RingCentral’sLegal and Finance teams to executeonand further develop cost control initiatives.
Working with our Head of Legal Operations, Senior Legal Operations Analystand LegalLeadership team, you willmanage day-to-day enquiries regarding invoices, LegalTrackerand payment status.
Operational responsibilities includeLegal Tracker management,supportingmanagement ofour e-billing system,enquiries from law firms and RingCentral’s Legal department, and ad hoclegaloperations projects.
We’re looking for candidates who areprocess-oriented, have a good graspofthe legal industryfrom both the law firm andin-houseside,and arecustomer service-focused and detail-oriented.
We needan excellent communicatorthat canresolve billing discrepancies diplomatically with outside counsel firms from diverse cultures around the world.
To succeed in this role, you will need to multitask efficiently and effectively to manage competing priorities.
Required Skills :
Create and manage new matters on Legal Tracker
Request new POs and update internal processes
Partner closely with RingCentral’s Legal Operations, Legal, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, and ITpartners on resolving firm billingenquiries,invoice status, onboarding new firms on Legal Tracker
Register new firms in payment system and update Legal Tracker accordingly
Assist in updating Legal Tracker with monthly budgets / forecasts
Review and load payment confirmations to Legal Tracker
Collaborate on ad hoclegaloperations projects to ensure progress againstRingCentral’s legal operations roadmap
Shared mailbox responsibilities regarding internal and external enquiries, law firm enquiries
Minimum Qualifications :
4+ years of work experience in legal operations and / oraccounts payable
Microsoft Excel and PowerPointsuper user
Hands-on experience withlegale-billing software(Legal Trackerpreferred)
Strong communication skills and direct experience working with law firm partners, associate attorneys, administrative assistants, and billing teams on invoice submission, matter management, accrual reporting, budgeting, and resolving fee disputes
Experience withbillingenforcement and financial modeling ofalternative fee arrangements including capped fees, fixed fees, blended rates, and success fees
Knowledgeoflaw firm pricing and billingmodelsandlegal matter management lifecycles for advice and counsel, litigation, and transactions
Excellent written and spoken English skills
Experience recognizing needs, solving problems, and anticipating issues
Project management experience
Preferred Qualifications :
3+ years inalaw firm pricing and / or in-house legal cost managementfunction
