ABB operates in more than 100 countries with about 136,000 employees. As a Technical Promotion Specialist you will be responsible to present ABB products and tools to consultants and develop new markets for ABB products.
Create and implement the contact plan regarding target group (e.g. consultants, engineering offices, public offices, authorities) to present and explain the technical features and benefits of ABB products to the end user.
You will be involved in achieving key takeaway quality and quantitative targets (number of visits, follow-ups, number and type of projects) with specified target group and according to the sales strategy.
Build knowhow to develop an in-depth understanding of application areas of the target group. Gather information from the target group to estimate future trends and market movements and provide input to ABB network.
Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility. Build long-
term sustainable relationships with the target group.
Your key areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Utilize own and internal technical resources to support / secure sales projects with the correct approach. Plan and execute promotional activities eg.
Technical seminars, in-house presentations, product demos, and educate customers and partners. Create and implement effective product / solutions in the market.
Implement new product launches. Adapt promotional and negotiation skills to specific situation.
Provide information and technical support for end-customer development projects. Collaborate across functions to explore new customer opportunities, channeling customer needs and requirements within ABB.
Follow-up on-going projects and gather information for creating the reference book of projects for ABB products. Create and keep updated the installed base database to identify and follow-
up on possible service activities.
Establish the overall promotional activity implementation plan for the target group. Actively support pre-defined Sales and Marketing engagements regarding the target group.
Support business development by identifying and creating new business opportunities. Work closely with other ABB units in order to provide a complete and competitive solution, able to identify additional opportunities for business growth.
Provide a regular report of promotional activities (number of visits, schedules, next steps, number of projects, and volume of projects) and opportunities and give / receive information from the sales organization.
Record and report demonstration related information (e.g. the type of questions asked).
Establish a vision for committed, loyal, long-term customer relationships and implements steps to reach the shared vision.
Analyzes and updates target group information and their end-customer related information Introduces ABB products to consultants and develops new markets for.
Maintain team success by taking into account other functions and ensuring cross-collaboration. Continuously develop own and team members technical knowhow and soft skills competences.
Regularly inform sales team about on-going projects regarding the target group.
Proactive in identifying own personal development needs in line with knowledge and skills required for the role. Train and educate the target group, i.e. consultants in own area.
Manage and drive Target group training by conducting regular training seminars in conjunction with appropriate segment managers.
Build knowhow of the internal sales organization regarding the cluster. Regularly report and update training information.
Minimize risks related to promoted products / technical solution and the product portfolio knowhow. Fully compliant regarding business ethics.
Ensure product launches, marketing-communication plans, customer training, sales team training and tasks are properly organized, planned and followed up.
Key requirements include :
Degree in BS Electrical Engineering
Preferred to have 2-5 years’ experience in Technical role or similar fields in electrical designs in HV-MV-LV
Fluent in English and local language
Ability to work in a multinational environment and in a matrix organization
Flexibility in travelling within the specified area / country
Preferred knowhow of the ABB division product portfolio and the organization
Preferred knowhow of electrical equipment and / or related products found in the Buildings Infrastructure & Transportation segment
Knowledgeable in PEC (Philippine Electrical Code), IEC standards, UL / NEMA Standard is an advantage
Capable having independent job and keeping contact from distant to team and management
Excellent communication and presentation skills
