The Credit Manager is responsible for the planning, evaluating, implementing and continuously improving all aspects of minimizing credit risk exposure of the company.Ensure enforcement of the company’s credit policies and adequate internal controls are in place to protect the company’s assets.Critical to the role is creating an environment to help motivate team members optimize performance and professional growth
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Credit Management
Responsible for the credit risk management of the company by performing :Credit assessment and evaluation of new customers and overseeing the investigation and verification of financial status and reputation of potential customers applying for creditEnsure complete documentation requirements of new customers (including collateral requirements / bank financing) necessary for the speedy evaluation and approval of the accountAccurately forecast and report credit risk exposures based on results of credit evaluations and account analysis done by the staff.Support the Sales Team through credit initiatives and programs to help the business fulfill its growth plans in coordination with other partners in the organization.Review delinquent accounts and those to be recommended for write-off and ensures compliance with requirements for recording and reporting. Determines when the accounts should be referred to an outside collection agency or Legal Department.Ensure all processes are performed and updated in line with changing business condition and demands of the businessContinuously improve and innovate the credit practices of the company through new programs that will support the growth of the businessProactively advise ExCom/ManCom credit related issues requiring their attention
B. People DevelopmentDrive engagement to for optimum performance and maximizing employee’s contribution to the organizationFacilitate activities and programs of the entire Credit team to ensure learning and development
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:Graduate of any business course preferably Accounting
WORK EXPERIENCE REQURED:At least 5 years combined experience in Credit Management preferably in banking industry
