JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Introduction
The Pennsylvania State University will hire and train a team of staff working remotely to perform COVID-19 contact tracing in communities across Pennsylvania.
The aim of this initiative is to call people diagnosed with COVID-19, establish the contacts of each person, and call and maintain ongoing communication with contacts.
Position Summary
The person in this position will be responsible for training a contact tracing team to support Penn State’s COVID-19 response using a trauma-informed, culturally respectful approach that builds trust and facilitates the sharing of information.
Case Investigators and Contact Tracers will conduct phone interviews with people diagnosed with COVID-19, elicit and reach out to their contacts, providing recommendations around isolation and quarantine, assessing needs for services to support isolation and quarantine including medical care, referring for testing as needed, and monitoring cases and contacts during quarantine and isolation.
Contact Tracing Trainers will be responsible for training team leads, community health workers, case investigators, and contact tracers in general and program-specific contact tracing protocols.
They will be also be responsible for periodic consulation, oversight, and quality control procedures.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
